So despite me taking a long time away from forums, I never stopped in the hobby.
I dabbled in Iron Warriors, Blood Angels, Legion of the Damned.
I’ve sculpted a lot. I’ve done maybe 6 primarch heads, and large scale; orc, night goblin bust, dwarf slayer, iron hands guy, death guard guy, an ongoing huge Engra Deathsword (iconic champion of chaos)
More recently I’ve painted up some khorne berserkers, a khorne champ on juggernaut.
I’m currently working on some high elves and updating my old collection (partially)
I’m going to try moving forwards to only produce displays, not collecting armies as such. So I can buy small groups or individual units or models
For example my Black Orcs
(i think they are 'ardboyz or something in AoS)

Absolutely wonderful display.
I’m in the same boat as you.
These Orcs I think have some great poses amongst them, was it hard to pose them up like this?
The display is great, in such a small space and simple way you put them right in a world and tell a whole lot more about them than if we just saw the minis and bases on their own.
There is a few conversions in there I see

I get so happy when I see user names from the old forums pop up. Your masked CD sculpts were some of the best ever! The diorama looks sick.

Yes they would be a real pain to rank up on square bases. Not impossible but painful.
Diorama bases present a different challenge, because you want to have variety in height to help you see more of each model.
It means when I get some chaos dwarfs I’ll need to display them in multiple large groups, as I won’t have an “army” as such.
