As you may know, my (first?) big project for Korea next year will be Iron Warriors traitor marines who worship Hashut.
I want to include a cool version of K’daai that’s fitting to 40k. I’ve narrowed it down to two options I like, both from the same source - Conquest: Last Argument of Kings. They are:
I’d go for the inferno automata if I had sufficient painting skills to pull off those flame effects. But it’s definitely a close call between the two - both very cool mini sets!
I enjoy the official lore, in that they are powerful half-fire-half-demon beings, only bound and controllable due to their runic armour. Thus, exposed fire is essential, so I’d pick number 1. My personal interpretation would give them some free will to pick and choose their coverings, like hermit crabs.
Yeah I agree. All six will end up as Kdaai eventually, albeit quite large ones. I’m comfortable with the vote as I do feel that the machines fit the Iron Warriors better, but I worried that they weren’t quite fiery enough to read as K’daai. Maybe in the case of high tech K’daai, that’s ok.
