The latest album from King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard is just plain awesome. PetroDragonic Apocalypse is a lot like early Metallica and Slayer jamming with Tool, a merger of thrash and prog metal.
My new favorite band is Gnome. I would describe them as Wildhearts meets Black Sabbath. They wear tall hats and do awesome dances too.
