Hello CDO community!

Hi! I’ve already made my presence know on the discord and since I’ve never used a forum format like this before, I hope I won’t goof anything up! Discord is way more my thing

I guess I’m a veteran of GW wargames, having played them for most of my life at this point! I made my start as a kid just prior to the release of WHFB 8th ed with a Beastmen army and have, like most, butterflied around for the last 15 years with a slight break from late 2018 to early 2022. Chorfs was actually played by one gamer at an event venue I used to frequent that was later closed just after the end of WHFB, so I was aware of them for ages yet never interested in collecting them (he had a pure LoA army btw).

That all changed when I got the chance to buy a physical copy of Tamurkhan in late 2022 which rekindled my interest in collecting fantasy altogether. Up until then I had thought myself finished with my Beastmen and Skaven, focusing purely on 40k and later Horus Heresy instead.

I bought my first Chorfs and Gobbos (for WHFB 8th which my current small gaming group still stuck with after the release of TOW) in late 2023, and have been doing test models off and on since then. My hobby time is split between a few diffirent hobbies, and as mentioned I have several current army collection projects as well. I also have caught “compulsive conversionitus” since returning to this hobby, I love to kitbash everything, so needless to say with these factors combined my progress is very slow most of the time!

My intention is to mostly hang out on the discord, with a blog/thread on here documenting my CD projects, once I figure out how this forum system works . I already gave an introduction on the discord, but basically I’m building a LoA force with whatever models I can get a hold of with lore justification to make the mixed units of Mantic/FW/90s big hats/conversions fit and make sense as using Infernal Guard rules in 8th ed. See you around! May your hats forever stay big!

This is indeed the way! I dedicate my hobby time between different hobbies in periods. The latest year I’ve been stuck in a rekindled MtG passion, but I’m looking at trying to come back to painting and modelling minis as well. Glad to have you around and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!.
