Help for valuation

Hello all,

First of all I’m not sure I’m in the right section and I apologize for this, maybe this belong in marketplace.

I stumbled upon an offer online, for supposedly original v4 chorfs.

I’m not great with valuation so I turn to the old presence of the forum here.

  • 1 sorcerer on lamassu
  • 1 sorcerer on taurus
  • 1 taurus in resin (don’t exactly knows what it means)
  • Astragoth
  • 21 monopause warriors
  • 2 champion, 4 banners, 1 musician
  • 11 blunderbuss
  • 11 bulltaur 3 with GW
  • 2 bulltaur banners
  • 20 hobgobelin 2 damaged (weapon)
  • Hobgobelin HQ (banner is damaged)
  • 4 hobgobelin archer
  • 1 Khan on wolf
  • Hobla khan
  • 4 spearwolfs (1 wolf slighty damaged)
  • 1 wolf HW and shield
  • 1 wolf archer
  • 3 deathshriker
  • 2 earthshaker
  • 2 hobgobelin balistas

Overall the guy claim they are in good shape (aside from a few bits damaged)

I got some pics I can share.

What do you guys think ? What would be a reasonnable price in euros in your learned opinion ?

Assuming legitimate GW sculpts - probably a lot!

GW released the Taurus and Lamassu without their riders as lone monsters in Finecast for Storm of Magic

The guys say they are legit, the paintjob on some of the pieces suggest also quite old stuff, so it would add to the legitimacy of the claim.

Oh so that would be it, one wing is broken but nothing too bad I reckon …

Ya, Marketplace is the spot for this kind of post. This isn’t so much hobby related (which is more craft-centric). An admin should be able to move this for us.

Jasko is correct - Taurus in resin was released back in 8th Ed, after the Legion of Azgorh and during the Storm of Magic era (both the Lammasu and Taurus were available). They were to be used as monstrous beasts only, so no riders were made for them and they were in crappy old Fine Cast resin, so quality was shamefully sub-par to say the least. I don’t track those prices, but probably 50-75% the cost of a regular metal 4th Ed Taurus (without rider, maybe $80-90 Canadian now).

By monopose warriors - are they metal or plastic?? There’s a HUGE difference in value. Min $20CAD for metal vs maybe $11 or so for plastic.

I’m also assuming the deathshriker rocket is a mixup with the new models and the Legion of Azgorh naming… as if this is 4th Ed metal it’s a Death Rocket ($~60 CAD vs $175+CAD for the actual Deathshreiker Rocket from Forge World).

Also not sure who the ‘Khan on wolf’ may be or the ‘Hobla khan’ is either. To chose from I’m assuming these are from the Regiments of Renown Oglah Kahn’s Wolfboyz … Oglah Khan came with the starter box, Ghazak Khan was sold separately in a blister pack. If you also have 4 ‘spearwolfs’… I don’t strictly know what these are, but the only Hobgoblin Wolfriders with spears are Oglah Kahn’s Wolfboyz… so I am just going to assume you have the set of 5 here to consider along with Ghazak Khan maybe???

I’m also counting your 2 Hobgoblins with damaged weapons in with the 20. Not worth considering a discount for them and lately they’ve been going for as much as the regular ones anyway… people aren’t picky with the 4th Ed Hobgoblins!

$2089.58 CAD (Finecast Taurus not included and I assumed these were plastic Warriors)

Note as well that my prices are ~6-12 months out of date now for some things… only about half have been updated recently from eBay completed listings.

P.S. I also assumed ‘Hobgobelin HQ (banner is damaged)’ maybe meant “full command”… otherwise I’m not sure what HQ means. Nevertheless, I put these in as a champion, musician and standard bearer (1 of each)

Oh whoa thank you for the break down of all of this.

I guess, from the researchs I made, that this is in fact Oglah Kahn’ Wolfboyz, but I just translated the announcement from french directly, without correcting anything.

Thank you so much for your thorought answer and the spreadsheet is just perfect. I adjust the Canadian dollar in euros. And go from there.

I wish I was able to upload pictures, but I still have a weird loading bug when trying.

Edit : moved to marketplace
