Hey, long time chaos dwarf fan here wanting to start an army for old world and maybe age of sigmar. I have not played an old world game but looking to maybe print out a 2k point list. This forum has been a wealth of knowledge and information especially with the blueprints for printing! I have to admit I’m excited to source some of these guys for myself and start painting some big hats!

Might I suggest getting and painting around a 500 point army first. That is easier to get done and get into the gaming sooner than later.
This will also help you develop your play style and show you how to proceed.

Thanks. You’re right, but what would that look like? I wanted a group of 20-30 blunderbusses that can be supported by a flying wizard, possibly a wizard on foot, an engineer, 2 demon cannons, and 1 of the machines with the ogre loader (forgot what it’s called.) also 20-40 hobgoblin infantry units(supported with leadership banner buff) with 1 khan and 10 wolf riders (possibly taking another ogre loader machine instead of the wolves and khan) which would put me at 2k points. Any other smaller lists that would be doable? The cannons are kinda expensive like 240 points each so that doesn’t leave much room for a Lammasu wizard or a very sizable block of regular dwarfs
My main strat was to summon the big block of blunderbii over to where I wanted them to dump into a big monster / dragon and have my hobs support my siege weapons

Sounds like you have a plan, so just 1/4 the final 2000 point. army.
Some 500 point groups will not let you take a war machine until 1000 points. Some will let you take something under 75 points.
Perfect for a Hobo bolt thrower. I think you need 2 or 3 anyway in a final list.
So start off with 10 Blunders, 10 Hobo with bow. 5 wolf ridders with bow and 1 bolt thrower.
Command them with a a level 2 Daemonsmith on foot with a Dark forged Weapon running with the Infernal Guard. In later games he can move to watch the war machines.
Just enough points left for a Khan with wolf and bow.
That’s about 500 points.
Then get some games in.
