Jackswift's Mordheim Warband and Fantasy Stuff

Still alive and back on a painting kick. Back working on Chaos Dwarfs again for the first time in a few years, so they will feature, just not there yet. Been working on several fantasy armies to show here, and just started a new goblin/monster army built tongue in cheek for Turnip 28, including many black powder conversions. As usual this is made up models from 6 or 7 different companies. Most of the models are built but paint has just started. First up a fungoid goblin from Imbrian Arts. His black powder pistol is at his back, and nearly as tall as he is. WIP but having fun with him:

Cheers!

Colouring aside, his (?) little face reminds me of the Fireys from Labyrinth!

He’s quirky for sure. Most of the Imbrian arts models are. Part of the reason I picked him up.

Here’s a Mordheim Sisters of Signar warband I built and painted last summer for a campaign that CSW (Chicago Skirmish Wargames) was running. Sadly they only made the tabletop twice due to my hectic summer schedule. I hope to use some of them for our imminent summer Song of Blades and Heroes campaign this year.

These are all original Mordheim metals aside from the guy with the musket who I brought in as a Merc after the first game to give the band some much needed ranged ability. He is a Freebooter model. I have several more of these to eventually make a unit of long gunners.

I have three more Sigmarite Sister models to paint plus a WFB Priest of Sigmar primed and ready to join these when I get back to them.

Bases are cork, balsa, sprue and random bits from my bits box.

The photos don’t quite capture it, but the scheme looks less bright, and grittier to the naked eye. Perhaps with proper lighting I’ll get better shots. Was aiming for a worn and weary band who has been combing through ruins for years. [Pic heavy]

Cheers!
