In case you are going to use some real fabric, remember to bathe it in water + PVA glue. It needs to soak in it or the shirt will absorb all the colours and won’t show anything.

I always use tomato puree tubing these days. Cut it open, run it through the dishwasher and cut to size. Gives you a nice sturdy base whilst still being flexible and slightly wavy. Just need to make sure you prime it well and don’t bend it too much once you have painted it - get it in the vague shape first
