Time to round out march, as I just finished this lovely lineman rookie, bound on making his debut in tomorrow’s League game of Blood Bowl.
And another unit for the Escalation League Empire army done, the Great Cannon, a print from the Sunland range.
Obtained a while ago, but finally ready to open the pack and have a look at them, some classic Chaos Dwarf players have joined the collection
On the other hand, I painted up a sideproject for the Escalation League’s Empire army, in the form of a “tiny landship”. The model is from the Sunland series of resin 3D print models, and it just seemed so fitting for my Marienburg themed force.
A small project finished this morning, I painted up the Stagger token counters we received at the Warhammer Underworlds tournament in halle back in march.
Opting for a clear water and a muddy water variant, to reflect a bit “good vs evil” these where fun little things to work on.
And another small but usefull thingie for Underworlds, a 3D printed Underdog token handed out in the Alost tournament. As I find it personally rude to not paint up the participation gifts within 6 months of receiving them, and it is actually something very handy…
Slowly the preparations for a Middle-earth tournament I’m organising have been started, including painting up my Lothlorien force in case as the TO (and reserve player) I’m needed to join in.
And to that end, after the colour scheme tester a while ago, I now finished the general for my force, an honour that fell to Haldir.
Happy international Star Wars day everyone, and what better thing to post today as the just finished and based Rebel Commando’s from Star Wars Legion.
These are true examples of the battle against the gray, being bought near the end of 1st edition, edition 3 is just starting to be released, and I never actually got round to play a game of it in all those years…
Maybe this edition, maybe…
Some more reinforcements for the Marienburg army, once again models by Warlord Games. Actually pikemen, I shortened their weapons about a third to become excellent spear lengths…
Finally finished painting my first Underworlds warband this year. Guess they deserve as such to be taken out to a tournament or event one of the coming weeks
The last ace up my sleeve to try and turn the abysmall luck in our club’s Blood Bowl league, the second Bull Centaur has been added to the line-up.
Hailing from the new “what used to be Forge World and we keep calling it that anyways” range released near the end of last year alongside the plastic team, it brings some more speedy muscle to the team.
Pre- and back order collection at the GW Antwerp store
As I’ll be off on holidays until next weekend, and a tournament next sunday, this is also the last addition for the may tracker.
Now to see if in June we can dive under the bought more then painted barrier…
The long weekend has come to pass, and I managed in between (well, during actually, never leave home without a paint kit) to finish two models for various projects.
First off, finally did the Soulscryer to round out my Idoneth Spearhead (right after the new one was announced, so time to work on the still needed units for that one), but no proxy stand-in Tidecaster is on duty for that anymore. Yes, I found Nemo, he was hanging out with Dory it seems…
I also painted up a Medic for my Belgian army in Bolt Action, to test the colours I’m thinking about using for the regular infantry… only 5 months to go for a whole army to finish!
But first, I’m going to work on some 20 year old metal spaceships…
After nearly two decades (we stopped playing it when the game was wrapped up by Mongoose Publishing in 2008) we are rebuilding some fleets for A Call to Arms, the Babylon 5 spacegame using the old B5W models from Agents of Gaming.
And what better to test the colourscheme then the workhorse of the EA fleets, the venerable Hyperion and his flight of Aurora Starfuries…
With the latest Golden Hat in the books, and probably not suprise at all which my personal participation entry was, we can now add the little K’daai to the paint log for the year.
The model is one of the Runic Golems from the old Rune Wars game by Fantasy Flight game, now to paint up 3 more of these boys to make a unit. But until then, he will make an excellent encounter model in some solo adventures…
An interesting model for sure; one I haven’t considered for K’daai but which works very nicely. The lava lights peeking through the stone came out very well!
