A unit of 20 Oathmark Hobgoblin Cutthroats (well, they are true scale orcs actually) with hand weapon and shield just rolled off the paint desk.
16 more of the counter with this unit of Sneaky Gitz by Fabelzel, including full command (for older WFB editions or The 9th Age)
Time for a small edition, I mistakingly posted this in the wrong topic first, so deleted it there, oopsiedoopsie, posting after coming straight out of bed from a heavy nightshift, not the best plan hehehe
With the recent victories in some 500pts tournament pack finetuning battles (I needed them, it has so far been a poor year for my Hashut followers), that meant I needed to paint up some additional figures for my still small slave regiment.
The idea behind that is that in “honour” of defeated opponents (ever since I started recording game results again about 1.5 years ago) I add a slave to a regiment, based 25mm, and paint them in a reflection of the colourscheme they used.
While the models just need to be suitable representing his force, the recent two victories (both batreps are now uploaded on this forum) meant I needed to paint a beastmen and a skeleton (for the TK). And the unit, once of suitable size, will occassionally come out to play as “Shackled Slaves” in The 9th Age rulesystem.
And that will round out my entries for the BATG for july, as the other things I’m working on at the moment will take some time to complete…
Freshly painted and ready for a tournemant in the not to far future, I decided to take a “fluffy twist” on Da Kunnin’ Krew for Warhammer Underworlds.
Painted in the colours of my actual Chaos Dwarf collection, I envisioned them as a pillaging advance party, paving the way for the arrival of the Blood of the Bull that will come soon…
In additional mountain clearing, I’ve sold of part of the unpainted collection for Age of Sigmar, as those armies won’t ever see any work now that the Helsmiths are on the way. Know yourself I’d say, so better to give them new owners instead of having them lie around for years unused, and push the finances in the One True Army for the game.
Just slightly over a year since their release, I finally managed to finish the SH terrain pieces from the first box… Guess it’ll still take a while for the new ones though to get to paint queue.
A small side project finished before leaving on holidays tomorrow morning. For a 500pts tournament end of september, you need 2 and 3 objective markers in some scenario’s, so I picked some pieces from the Gargant sprues I have lying around and made my own to suit the army theme…
Back at it after a holiday, and we started out with something simple to get in the rhytm. A 3D printed house, always good for the tabletop and a quick 3 layer drybrush job.
Nice terrain piece! ![]()
Another month gone by, the BATG numbers have been given into the system, and the rebooted force keeps growing
With baggage trains now being a thing, it was time to build and paint one for my Dawi’Zharr, a model I found somewhere from a Romanian Etsy seller. Which sounds a lot like a Hobgoblin if you ask me, but meh…
As the final games are coming up to somehow scrounge myself a spot in top 8 qualifiers of the Blood Bowl League, we have to take any edge we can. Like a biased referee, converted from the regular dwarf one, but with a hat and some hair to fill the gap up.
Another war machine finished this time round, with a Deathrocket, based “correctly” now for The Old World.
Time for something different, as I completed a second Hyperion cruiser with it’s onboard flight of Aurora starfuries for some A Call To Arms gaming.
Well, guess we can add some models to the counter to paint ![]()
Actually this times three, but it is silly to unbox three times the same thing…
The last model I’ll get finished in september for this counter. The excellent Great Taurus by Fabelzel, based to be easily adapted to The Old World, but otherwise foreseen for either 8th edition or The 9th Age.
Orktober entry completed, as I finished a classic (cough, very first season, what you mean backlog) warband from Warhammer Underworlds, Ironskull’s Boys.
Because orange ones hit fasta!
