Hey everyone, I have been considering using the Mantic Abyssal Dwarves with blunder busses as Infernal Razers, but unsure what they’d be like side by side. I have two of the Helsmiths starter sets and was thinking about using the Mantic models to bulk them out, as I already own them, I just haven’t got an example of each built, so not sure how they’d look in the same army. Does anyone know if they would work, or am I better off waiting for the GW version? Sorry this was a wall of text… lol.

So you’ve got both sets of models, side-by-side is easier for you to discern your taste than it is for us.
What game system are you planning to play them with?
My instinct, as an owner of much mantic, is that the size difference would make the limbs a poor fit. I also think the mantic dwarfs would look a little lost on AOS bases.
Apologies, I should have been more clear. While I do have both sets of the models, the Mantic stuff is currently buried and I can’t get to it, so was just curious if anyone else had considered it. If they’d not look right next to the Helsmiths models then I will just go with getting the proper ones when they’re available. Thanks for the help.

Bugger, I forgot to say these will be for Age of Sigmar. I’m using a mix of Mantic and 3d printed models for TOW, so was wondering if I could get away with using some of the spares, but it’s all good, thank you.

Without owning any of the helsmiths myself I guess that they are probably a little larger than the mantic AD. That being said mantic has some pretty similar looking helmets as far as tall and a a little wide so they very well could blend in once all painted and based!
