New CD army blog

I’ll come up with a better title later

As I will eventually work towards building a second display collection, they deserve their own blog

I’m thinking

CD with spears

Blunderbusses

BC (new)

Hobgoblins

Dreadquake

Deathshrieker rocket

Dominator

Any remaining infernal guard I have

In terms of the paint scheme I think I’ve decided, it will be white armour, black scalemail, black trim, red as a spot colour including large red chaos stars. So more stylish than grunge

To start the blunderbuss ones I have 5 assembled already from the actual set and I’m going to mix in some of the cohort guys. Conversion came out quite nicely, I was expecting to have to resculpt the entire leg section but I just scraped the scales off then a thin coat of GS

A few more assembled. Have to select carefully which ones to use as the legs do in fact need resculpting on most

Plus the rocket Hobgoblin appears!

I’ll add another 5 regular blunderbussers taking me to 17 including the hobgoblin and the bloodbowl blunderbuss guy

I imagined with all the blunderbusses going off something audible would be pointless.

But a rocket with red smoke halt or green smoke charge or something is much easier to see

Plus the entertainment if it gets jammed on the hobgoblin and he flies off as well.

And a non flammable standard as well, attention to detail.

Need to add some small spikes across all these guys.

A test model. Some refining to be done and he needs a couple of spikes on his helmet. But overall quite happy with the concept.

The Hobgoblin Rocketman was definitely the right thing to do here. There needs to be many more… as well as conversions of this little character piloting some larger mechanical suit, like the Humongous, who was the guardian of the gates to the city in Labyrinth!
