Greetings all. I recently acquired some classic chaos dwarfs and thought this forum would be the perfect place to feed my new obsession. Thanks for all the wonderful content from existing members. It’s been a great source of information for a newbie. This is my starter pack. Looking forward to growing this army. Praise Hashut!
Heck yeah! Well met and welcome to the forum. Great to hear you already had a stroll around.
What are your plans, are you primarily a collector or do you also intend to play some games? Which game system is your poison?
4th edition is where it all started for me as a kid so that’s where I’m rooted. Love the models, the army books, the whole GW back story at that time. I have a large orc and goblin army from the 90s. Would love to play again but limited people to play against. So thought I’d build a second army. Appreciate it will take some time and money but I know it will be well worth it.
How about you? When did you start your army?
Classic! Yeah I guess not many people play 4th these days. Depends on your location of course.
I started in 5th, was there for the transition to 6th, paused with the hobby, came back at the very end of 7th, played through 8th, kept doing that and now play TOW.
I never got past 5th. Came back to the hobby a few years ago. I still have the 4th edition box with all the rules so just need to tempt a mate to have a game.
How does TOW compare to previous editions?
It actually does have some elements of 5th, namely the character/monster primacy. But the bulk compares to 6th most, with some stuff from Warhammer ancient battles and later editions. I think it’s a fine edition!
Are you able to play your chaos dwarfs?
Welcome!
Yes, GW released them as a legacy faction.
Welcome! You’ve definitely come to the right place!! So are you from
Cambridge Massachusetts or the Cambridge, in England?
Keep us posted on your growing army!!

I’m from the UK. How about you? Interesting to know the reach of CD.
Have just purchased a rocket launcher and a few more blunderbuss troops. Hard to find models at a sensible price.
Out in the prairies… or the Canadian Darklands as I like to call it Xander, our fearless leader here on the forum, is Canadian as well
Haha you asked before me, even though I had assumed the UK.
A shame as I’m within Earthshaker range of the assachusetts proxy. Welcome to the forum!
Proxy haha. I think the American towns are the modern reimaginings for a modern audience. Us Britons are living in unsupported legacy towns.
