Greetings,
I’ve been doing a little bit of painting lately, and i’ve settled on a scheme I’m happy with.
I’m a railway worker so I wanted my dwarves to have my uniform’s orange and blue. Here they are:
My dwarves will be Railway Dwarves, travelling in great lightning-powered rail-fortresses, laying rail, journing through fantastic locations, subjugating the locals, and stripmining the landscape for valuable minerals.
My dwarves inhabit the Realm of Metal (yes. Age of sigmar. Deal with it) and I imagine them travelling through places which might be named things like the Lanthanide Wastes, the Oxide Steppes, the Razorleaf Forests, and plumbing the depths of the Anomalous Subsurface Environment
My basing ideas were thus:
The Danakil Depression, using water effects for corrosive pools of acid.
The shimmering plains of Mirrodin. I actually ordered some hexagonal sequins from etsy (twice) and they never turned up, so this one’s probably off the table, unless someone can suggest where to get small enough hexagons for 25 and 32mm bases (all the hex punches put out 10 to 20mm hexes, which is far too large)
But, after all my painting, and because I have so little time for painting, I’m also thinking of just wimping out and painting the bases goblin green, because I’m time poor, and because do associate chaos Dwarves with the days of goblin green bases.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
