Rodge's Chaos Dwarfs

Thanks! They fit in without having to convert anything and gave me a headstart on the war machine in the actual army. Thinking now I might even go the other way and use the rest of the team as crewmen!

More gobbos! The original plastic gobbos in fact - even older than the spearmen above. I was surprised to see them included with or priced like the 4th ed night gobbo plastic archer sets on eBay. Not much demand for them I suppose. Still, cool having figs nearly 40 years old! (Not quite as old as me! )

Forgot to say I’ve got 9 painted here but another 15+ are assembled and ready to get some paint. Two units of 12 could be useful in Saga.

Sculpted a hand and bomb for this guy. Nothing fancy but probably one of my favorite figs!

I remember the 4th edition gobbos with spears and night goblin archers that you refer to, but don’t even remember those ones (and I am over 40).

I only remember the wood elf archers myself. Whatever GW catalogue I had back then had a painted picture of a big unit of them that always mesmerized me.

Dragon ogres always seemed like they’d be natural allies to me. Since they’re some of the best figures GW has ever produced in my opinion, I figured I’d add them in myself.

Thank you!

I’m not usually the kind of guy who’ll add a little command squad to a heroes’ base but decided to go for it here. I wanted the head honcho to stand out a little bit from the other two heroes and have a little bigger base/range for bossing the minions around.

The shield is a fabelzel 3d print. Like the wiz, I do intend to get a proper banner on the standard one day. (But today is not that day!)

A couple mad bombers! They can drop into those 40mm bases so I can use them as Destruction Teams in Masters of the Underearth for SAGA. I didn’t realize it, but with my Blood Bowl crewman players, all I need to do is the rocket launcher itself for a proper finished war machine!

I do have the standard bearer and will get to him eventually when I muster the fortitude for banners. I originally chopped off his hands to give him gloves for another Blood Bowl Bull Centaur but he looked like such a weenie next H’thark that I just had to get another H’thark. I did keep his hands, thankfully, so just need to frankenstein him back together.

My favorite is the two hander with the swirly hat of tiny skulls.

They look great! These are my all-time favorite sculpts

Thanks! They’re definitely the most dynamic Chaos Dwarf sculpts!

I’ve had just a Lammasu head laying around for years and finally determined the Mino Lord body is just barely epic enough to match its majesty. Took a little putty work on the back of the head but otherwise seems to be a fit made in Hashut Heaven.

For some reason I think of this guy as a “shifter”. He’s just a normal Chaos Dwarf Lord most of the time but when it’s time to do some proper business he chugs a potion (no doubt containing spinal fluid of the Founding Taur’ruk) and transforms into this big guy to beat ass.

Awesome! Great idea and a great model!

Thank you!

This really came out well. I have to say, though I’m (gasp) not a big fan on the original lamassu, the head on its own is an exceptional bit
