This is my first post here, so first quickly wanted to state that I’ve played WHFB and 40k since the early 90’s as a pre-teen so was just around for the WD for Chaos Dwarves and later got into Oldhammer. Always played Chaos but perhaps only owned 2-3 Chaos Dwarf Models.
With the new release for AoS I see it as an opportunity to scratch the Oldhammer Itch, namely for the rules combined with the classic look. As I own a 4k resin printer my plan is to print an army with a few new plastics releases scattered in.
As for this topic, I’ve looked over still shots of the twitch stream to understand the base sizes and thusly the model heights to better scale various Chorf STL’s for printing, I thought I’d share here. Measurements hinge on Daemonsmith/War Despot being on 32mm base
Brilliant work, this is just the sort of thing we like to see here!! You are truly a brother of the forge and a great Daemonsmith in the making already!

Thank you for the replies!
To get started on my recent print adventures, some free/cheap files found on cults3d. At the time of printing I had not done the calculations above so some heights/scales are experimental. However shown here are 28mm bases, which I now believe to be the valid AoS infantry size from calculations above.
I had some moisture problems with my printer but expect to have some of the meanmanindustries Infernal Dwarfs printed soon.
Also about to pull the trigger on some of the https://www.lostkingdomminiatures.com/ Dwarves.
Yes the STL’s look messy (they were scanned by someone on cults3D, they alluded to some shenanigans by the original sculptor)
But when printed they look good.
I think the proportions work better than the Massimiliano (Max152) sculpts shown front and center. Love the clean detail Max put in but the giant heads don’t work for me.
There has been a delay while I fight with my resin printer, I may post a blog on that. 3-4 prints came out wrecked, and adding insult to it the vat screw got stuck and snapped off. Now all fixed and have a good print ready to clean up and show soon.
Also adjusted my name going forward.
Here are some of the Lost Kingdom range next to models above. I really like these blunderbusses as a proxy for the new AoS guns, and expect to print a full squad soonish
This cannon is from cults3D user: Hotstuff
and using crew by Max152, though sort of big-headed I feel they match the style.
The cannon is 40mm ground to top so not quite as big as the bombard but all fits nicely on a 100mm base. One ammo crew lost his hat in a misprint (too little resin in the vat)
Finally there is a base with some wheel debris, this was a multi-sized set for trench crusade i had some prints lying around for. look on yeggi and I’m sure it will popup.
He was a con-artist. He joined the community and slowly developed the range, sold a precious few cast sets, took a buttload of orders and disappeared into the Russian night. It’s all buried in the forum archives, search his name and you can piece it together like some kind of novelty ARG.
It started with recasting the few real zonks that existed, and then once scantech became real, it just seemed like the best way to heal the community. And it was a lovely tech demo of the methods we now use to share Brazen Bastards community sculpts.
A more infernal Helsmith and despot if ever there was! May his forge run cold, his anvil crack and his hammer break when it next strikes. I’ve seen goblins with thicker beards and straighter spines than his! By Hashut, every Dawi Zharr and slave from here to Zharr Naggrund knows Zonk’s beard is a nest for lice and cowardice. May he lose a strand from his beard from every Forgemaster he betrayed, only then will his chin match his soul - beardless in spirit and in life!
