GoldenHat:
Entry #10
Bri-Han The Crook Fingered
A daemonsmith born with nimble fingers, Bri-Han displayed an extraordinary talent for craftsmanship inventing a revolutionary method of securing ropes to hobgoblin crotches.
However, as Bri-Han delved deeper into the forbidden arts, stone encroached upon his right hand, hardening the once nimble digits.
One fateful day, Bri-Han, amidst the solitude of his shed, sought to answer nature’s call. As he squatted and removed his armour, the stony fingers contorted backwards and shattered.
The incident left him permanently disabled, ostracised and ridiculed relentlessly.
Through countless experiments and tireless research, he finally crafted a marvel of engineering—a mechanical hand powered by the mystical properties of liquid magic.
Emerging from his seclusion, Bri-Han returned triumphantly, and now offers his services as a mercenary to the highest bidder.
When offered a place among the mighty council of sorcerers in the tower of Zharr, Bri-Han simply declined.
“No thanks, I’ll pass,” he remarked, dismissing the idea with a wave of his mechanical hand. For Bri-Han, the pursuit of engineering achievements and the freedom to explore his own dark experiments far outweigh the trappings and prestige of political power.
What the hell @Oxymandias . What the hell!
Reading through all the lovely writings entered into this contest, the first line here made me stop in my tracks and ask myself with a laughing knee-jerk reaction: “Who the hell wrote this? Is this Eddie’s entry?”
And the rest of the text did well to live up to the bonkers standard set by the beginning.
Saint Oxymandias the Leper and martyr Jacques the Butcher in 40k are now joined by Bri-Han the Crook Fingered in WHFB or AoS.
And this time, you did this to yourself.
Well done, Oxy. Well done.
