I’m very tempted to pick up the new the old world starter box. I’d love to Hashut-ify the chaos warriors, then take them as allies with my chaos dwarfs. Any recommendations or advice on paint scheme or conversion I could do to make them appear Hashut aligned?
Beards and bull horns? ![]()
Black armor and red trim? (or viceversa)
Sculpted/freehanded Hashut symbols
I’ve been considering red armor. But I want to avoid them looking to much like khorne.
Think fire, not blood… The dawi zharr are the fire dwarfs after all.
ngl those new chaos warriors are absolutely stellar, I really love that new dragon
I mean in a vacuum they may look like Khorne but once you put them next to your chorfs there shouldnt be any confusion.
Still, Hashut symbol should definitely sell the point.
blue or purple trim would help.
in the old world I think chaos knights are a perfect fit to proxy as Bullcentors.
I assume there’s some good hashut decals I could get my hands on?
I will find an excuse to take it with my dwarfs.
What do we think about a very bright metallic, with a lava base and a bright red osl to give them a red aura?
Johnny,
I think that the answer to your question is what do YOU think about that scheme? It’s your army…
I will say, lava seems to be a very popular choice… It might have something to do with the lore… haa haa
I will say, for OSL, the most effective versions I’ve seen done contrast with dark surrounding colors. I guess that using lava would suggest a nadir lighting scheme, with maybe a secondary light source not overwelming that lighting from below… So, I’m not sure if it actually is OSL, or two lighting schemes. Honestly, that sounds like work to me. I have mentioned before either here or on the discord forums, the best tool I know to help see volume differences is to take a picture and put it in greyscale.
Again, sounds like work to me for a unit, but if you pull it off, bravo to you. ![]()
