Really the only non-launchbox thing I don’t intend on buying is the infernal razers, I like the helmetless heads but it just feels dumb to piss away money on a unit of 5 when I’ve already got and can get more fitting cheaper alternatives elsewhere.
Voted “one” on things I might do a second wave on after some time.
And I don’t not get the dice because I think they’re ugly, I actually quite like them, I just can’t do anything with 16 dice, I like to have much more, and I prefer to only use one kind of dice, unless I want to know which attacks are the champion’s, and I sure as shit don’t get multiple sets at that price, and also they’re sold out after 10 seconds.
The Razers are a very unfortunate combination of being the most divisive sculpts of the new models at the most outrageous price per model at a size unusable for the most popular game system.
Lmao the only thing that even remotely interests me arent even chorfs, but the hobs.
I’m trying really hard not to be the ‘new bad, old good’ guy, but jeez….
Well, there goes my BATG score into the stratosphere… I’m thinking I’m going to want 3-5 boxes of those Hobgoblins, and probably two of anything that wasn’t in the launch box… and while we’re at it - 4 boxes of those Bull Centaurs so I can get a decent starting number of each variant. Going to need more for conversions down the road. I guess the one good bit of news is that I’m starting out with the credit card paid off and my wife is also planning to go on to the GW site on Saturday to make some Xmas purchases this Saturday!!
And then there’s the dice. They’re going to go faster than dignity at an open bar. If I had to bet they’re going to be one of the first things to sell out.
I appreciate that over in Canada stock is pretty supplier-dependent and allocations seem weak. But I have a feeling you and @Jasko in Germany are going to be alright. There’s something like 12 sets of limited dice on the warhammer storefront, and some limited dice just never shift. The Helsmiths launch box didnt sell out in many territories. I suspect, given stuff like Gloomspite and Nighthaunt limited dice are still in stock, that you will have time to get them the day after sales go live or whatever.
Limited dice usually are sold in Germany right on the spot with only a few exceptions. And personally I’m not going to spend 25€ on 16 dice. I have dice at home.
I’ve already got the Army Box so to add onto that I’ll probably be grabbing a box of Cohort, maybe another Bombard, definitely some Hobgrots, and two of the Helsmith/Ashen Elder kit so I can have both.
These polls can be a bit misleading because most forum members are older players who already have full Chaos Dwarf armies, so the results are going to look bad for sales even for those who like the new models.
Everyone showing off their helsmiths have put them on round bases ( that ive noticed).

I noticed when i voted on each item i was usually in groups with the same people. You neef fancy stats-gitz to tell us if the correlation is significant! (Not really)
AOS players are motivated to get theirs on the tabld fastest because they’ve got live games to play and nobody knows how good the army is yet. They’ve got a fully functional spearhead already and many of the chaps on the discord are eager to be among the first wave of people playing the army. Good luck to them, I say.
