Ashurbanipal, why does it take so long for you to update your painting blog?
A: probably because I paint the fingernails on hobgoblins 
I managed to complete 20 of these fine upstanding citizens this past week.
Also I wanted to show you the beginnings of the process for how I achieve my blue tone. First I lay down acrylics like AK ultramarine and Vallejo violet. Then I do an oil glaze over with Ultramarine Deep. As you can see the previous colors shine through but in a very rich tone!
