Hi guys,
I am new to this forum, but my love for chaos dwarfs is as old as my tabletop journey.
My friend and I decided that we are not playing enough tabletop of late (having a job, marriage and children on the way tend to do that). So we decided to start a small campaign just between us two. The campaign is loosely written to allow us to change things as we go. We have a simpel system to level characters, regiments and monsters which is “inspired” by the narrative system for Warhammer 40k. We are using the rules from Warhammer Armies Project, as that gives us the most options for our Armies and we are familiar with the rules.
this thread is meant to show the process of our campaign, give you some narrative battle reports and encourage us to play more
Deep in the deserts of the Land of the Dead lie treasures beyond imagination. Gold and copper, smaragds and diamonds. And above all the artifacts of the old god-kings of this ancient human empire, lost to time and the never ending sand of Khemri. These artifacts containe the knowledge to raise the dead to do one’s will. Unasking and undemanding are the undead the perfect servants to one with a will strong enough to bind them to one self.
This is the goal of Sorcerers-Prophet Gilgharrmesh, He who is called the Cleanser of the Bone Plains. With a mighty host of warriors, followed by thousands upon thousands of Hobgoblin Servants, beasts of burden and slaves he traveled along the Straits of Nagash. He marched around the Bitter Sea and went under the shadow of the Misty Mountain.
Now, finally his army sets foot onto the hot Sand.
The advanced forces of the chaos dwarfs pass the big obelisks that show to any passing traveler the border, where after the true land of the Dead begins…
The ambush is sprung!
Out of the sand rise the defenders of Khemri, who lied there for millennia, just waiting for a trespasser upon their land
The Bultaurs die in a violent volley of cursed arrows, the immortals are surrounded on all sides. Fate seems to have already decided who will walk away from this slaughter today…
The Immortals defy the weak skeletons!
They are truly worthy of their name!
Death and Obliteration for the foes of the Dawi Zharr!
The battle is not won yet. The elite chariots of the Defenders are annihilated by the stubborn refusal of the immortals to die. But new enemies are already waiting their turn…
By the Glory of Hashut! The immortals carry the day again, slaying everything that stands in their way! No weakling that oppose them can hope to see the end of the battle alive!
The backbone of the tomb king forces are broken. Only some isolated units remain. When the reinforcements of the chaos dwarfs arrive on the field, the battle is all but won…
Victory for the Dawi Zharr!!
All Praise Hashut…
We welcome even dead slaves.
Great story, Welcome.
Thanks for sharing! and my two favorite armies!
Very cool to see LKM ushabti, don’t often see them painted.
Thanks, both Armies are completely printed and are using mostly LKM files^^
