Pretty solid, at first glance. It’s way different from what I would build, but that’s what it is.

Thoughts:

Your BSB and carpet daemonsmith are mega squishy, susceptible to even small arms fire or a few allocated attacks in melee. Bit risky.

The lvl1 smith is unlikely to get many spells off. The daemonology signature spell is 9+ to cast, so it’s likely to fail if not easily dispelled. I question his validity here.

Your lamassu general similarly has little in the way of defense. His t6 is good, but by no means invulnerable. With just heavy armor and no ward, he will get taken down by pretty much anything, barring a fortuitous terror bomb. Which spells do you want from daemonology with the familiar? At least on a Bale Taurus sorcerer, I think pretty much all of the daemonology spells are worthwhile, and the vortex can be traded for something else (sorry @Jasko, I’m just not a vortex guy )

Why aren’t your blunderer units detachments? Seems appropriate.

I like 2*10 hobo archers as chaff and trash drops - they cost a whopping 30pts each, so for me that’s an auto include. The wolf riders are by all means better, but also cost way more.

Might as well put the war banner on the infernal guard, that way it won’t be lost if(when) the BSB dies.

Bull centaurs need great weapons for a much needed offensive boost. Obsidian vambraces on the champion is a good option for a round of stronger impact hits (edit: impact hits use unmodified strength, so this is bad advice on my part) and some magic res going up the board.

Consider steam carriage on the magma cannon, which has a shorter range than the other war machines?

I’d bring a Dreadquake instead of a magma cannon any day, however. The move debuff is great, and the d6 multiple wounds can be clutch ah.

I think those are my two cents. Interesting Tau’ruk build, I wonder if it’s worth it. Would love to hear your findings on that.

Haha, fair enough  And fwiw Daemonology arguably has the weakest vortex of them all.

Somebody stop me! Stomps and impact hits are resolved at the unit’s unmodified strength!

Forget what I said about the obsidian vambraces :see_no_evil:
