Warp miniature evil dwarfs and a broken promise

First time poster here.

I have played a lot of WHFB through the years, and owned a lot of armies. When AoS came around I sold all but one, and said that if WHFB ever returs I will only play this army, my night goblins.

When ToW came out and I was searching for STLs to buff out some missing models in the army I stumbled upon Warp miniatures, and especially their Evil Dwarfs. I emediately fell in love and broke my one-army-promise! Here is my first printed and painted unit of lovely chaos dwarfs, along with my BSB and a sorcerer on foot!

I went for a really chaotic old school look with mulitple colors on the armour, inspired by Warps own pics. I think they tuned out really well! Still needs som grass flock on the bases, but other than that they are done.

Now on to the rest: more dwarfs, bulls, some hobgobs (hog gobs, from Warps pig face orks!) and some black orks. And of course a character on a flying monster!

We’ve not seen many of the Warp orcs on the forum to my knowledge so definitely looking forward to seeing more! Keep up the great work!

My plan is to use the pig faced orks (scaled down to maybe 80-90%) as hobgobs, and their Formorians as black orcs. I like Warps esthetics and want to keep it in line with the dwarfs.

First hog goblin done! I went for a very green skin tone and red hood to have som contrast to the brown clothes. I will now try to batch piant a couple to see if this scheme is quick enough to use.

Nice! I use these pig orcs as slaves in my own army.

First of three bull chentaurs ready. The last 10 hog gobs is getting ready to be UV-showered and in the printer I’ve got a cannon and a test formorian black orc. I’m not entitely sure about the size of the formorians so have to do a testprint to se if I have to adjust the size a little.

Definitely a very old school look.

That´s why I love them! Nothing wrong with the curly bearded ones, but thesa are lovely!

Progress!! 2250 suboptimized points of chaos dwarfs are now done! I’m really pleased with how they turned out. In the printer a lamassu is getting ready and on the panting table I hava 30 hog goblins in different stages of painting. After this the plan is to add some more guns, maybe another cannon and of course the black orks! I will play my friends wood elfs next weekend. :slightly_smiling_face:

Welcome. Your army is looking incredible. Great models and that paint scheme really works!

Thanks a lot! As I said: I will try them out this weekend against my friends wood elfs: 2250 points the old world. Will be fun for sure!!

Looks amazing!

Thank you!

In the heat of battle it is very hard to remember to take pictures… :frowning:

Anyway: first battle done! Breaking point scenario, 2250 pts against wood elfs led by an ancient treeman. Wonderful game!

The Iron daemon did its thing, as did the bulls with tauruk. The lvl 4 general on bale taurus was a real pain for my friend to handle with his toughness of 7! The rocketlaunchercannonthing didn’t do a lot except taking down a couple of glade guards. One of the bolt throwers on the other hand shish kebab-ed five wildriders!

Lovely army, great fun! Over all a good choice to break the one-army-promise.
