[WHFB] - The stanza of the two roads

Through the mountain pass came forth rage,
Through the mountain pass came forth flame,
And out of the flame a dwarf walked․
Fiery hair had he,
Ay, too, he had a flaming beard,
He raised an axe,
And hell fled before him.

Through the mountain pass came forth hatred,
Through the mountain pass came forth darkness,
And out of the darkness a dwarf walked․
Raven hair had he,
Ay, too, he had an iron beard,
He brandished chains,
And hell fled before him.

They walked the only road that matters.
One to kill, one to own.
Two roads, two names, for their sons to choose.
And suffer.

-Attributed to Valaya. Date unknown. The original and complete stanza is rumored to have been engraved on a bronze tablet kept deep in the vaults of Karak Vlag. The truth vanished with the hold, leaving many fears unanswered.-
