Xander's New Chaos Dwarf Army for Warhammer: The Old World!

I’ve stalled on this design: Cornixt's Alternative CD war machines - blog - #25 by cornixt
I have been trying to make it look natural, like it would actually work, but I couldn’t satisfy myself no matter how I arrange the arms. I may have set myself an impossible task in trying to make it look realistic while adhering closely to the original train design. Yours proves that there is actually a lot more leeway in that - I can raise the pivot points much higher and still maintain the look I am going for by moving further away from copying the original.

Ah, yes. I see what you mean. Yeah. It’s definitely a tricky contraption to model precisely. I was considering adding additional pneumatics of some kind to make it look more like the original, but they might not be necessary. My main concern was trying to find a way to magnetize the differences between the types of Iron Daemons.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

It’s nice to see those units in the top photos all painted up. Been a long time since I saw those.

Little did you know when you gifted me 2 miniatures that they’d turn into 40.:grin::grin:

Love those units. Immortals and Acolytes. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::ok_hand:

Thanks a million!

Kitbashed some Fireglaives for my Old World army!

And here’s the current state of the army. I’m sorry of planning to blast through the painting portion of this so that I can justify buying the Helsmiths of Hashut. :innocent:

If I wasn’t motivated before, I definitely am now.

Thanks Ungdrin! The Moms miniatures are so cool, and I’ve wanted to do something with them for ages.

I’ll be using their shields on my warriors as well.
