The Steam Tank looks great. The horned and demon heads are very in keeping with your style of CDs and bring the model in nicely. Great use of the Hasslefree model as well!
I celebrate the model, the models very much. They have an incomparable charm and your painting is top.
@Bessron: Thank you for the kind words, even if I will never reach your high standard!
If I ever have a long hiatus from visiting this blog it is really only to stave off seeing some new idea that makes me want to buy some miniature I didn’t know I needed.
Alas… Zanko is inevitable.
snaps fingers
I’d even seen this model before but only in raw metal, but now I see how you’ve classed it up…
saves image to impossibly long list of projects
Fantastic steam wagon. Really nice conversion to chaos. You really are indefatigable
This here is my GH entry. Since I still had 8 Samurai Dwarves from Bob Olley, I increased the troop a bit and can now use them (at least as allies) in SAGA-Age of Magic.
In this context I was looking for a possibility to build a musician. Primarily I wanted to build a drum on the lizard, but after the 3rd attempt I gave up and chose the (admittedly) weaker variant with the horn in the hand. At least I finished!
… might be continued!
Really enjoy the samurai minis, nice work on them! The Brazen Bastards need a samurai now.
If only I could draw …
Lovely entry and great troop. Go forth and conquer Zanko san
I was very, very, excited to see your entry. I’ve had my eye on these models for years, but never quite made the jump to picking them up. They are awesome little sculpts and you’ve done them justice painted up in your style. Love the mounts as well, everything works together very well. Great job. This was one of my favorite entries!
Thank you for your words of encouragement.
With the models it was like so often with me, actually I do not need them, but then buy them anyway.
But what the heck so is the hobby life, what do you really need? Nothing … everything!
I quite understand! I’ve managed to curb that instinct more the last couple of years, but still do it. I am now trying only to pick up new models when they fill a slot in an army that I will actually use… Mostly… And sell what I know I will never get to. Not terribly successful to date… But still trying.
Since I’m planning to build a castle, even if I’m not getting anywhere with it at the moment, of course I need a castle crew. I have chosen the “Vanir” from Celtos for this. Here are the first models.
This is Mhyrdioth Zark with his bodyguard.
I really like your wolfriders, where are they from? They look lords of ringsy. Like the carton in the 70s/80s
Those Vanir, are great models and I really like your blue skin paint jobs. Ikore makes some of my favorite models. I have a bunch of Celtos models waiting in the wings for when I get to painting up a Barbarian army, and I need to finish out a unit of Blood Reavers to make a mounted Orc unit for Kings of War!
I don’t recognize the crossbow models but they match the style beautifully. What are those from, are they also Celtos?
A great extension to you still growing army!
Thank you very much!
Yes, I find the Celtos models very beautiful overall, very oldschool! The crossbowmen are also the original Celtos Vanir models.
Nice. i quite agree. I will have to keep an eye out for those crossbow men! Most of what I have are Gael models, but there are a smaller number of Vanir and Sidhe in the mix. And some Fomorian Orcs that are part of my CD/Abyssal Dwarf army already. Will have to take some pics. Cheers!
This is the emissary of the Supreme King @Abecedar together with his lap animal and the infamous “Spoon of Doom”!
Simply great models, I am thrilled! King Zagor will have to think of something to show his appreciation!
Wow what a great emissary and what a great spoon! Haha top job abecedar
