[Archive] [07-21-2009] no Pirates! involved..just Dawi Zharr (WIP Taurus...wash me!)

melcher:

What´s about these wings (the problem is that I didn´t know the exact size)?!

Zanko
Nine dollars? What is that in Euro :cheers
But i like these wings, they look a little bit more "evil" than the standard gw ones...i´ve to check some more wings, if the sizes is ok for my taurus.

Nevertheless: more progress on Mister Taurus!

I finished most of the green stuff work and started to bring on some horns on the back and the neck, although i´m not very satisfied with how the horns on the neck turned out.

On the femoral (i learn a new word every day ;) ) you can see some tests of self made scales...don´t know if i wanna do more of them...x.x

thanks :hat off

Kera foehunter:

the green stuff work looks good i like the horns on the back

turquois dwarf:

this guy must be quite big! can we have a picture of him standing by a chaos dwarf for scale?

melcher:

turquois dwarf
Of course:

as you can see, i started to give him the first basic paints (both foundation colors: aweful :cheers ).

Kera foehunter:

now it looking better . its starting to unfold

melcher:

its starting to unfold

Kera foehunter
And he is unfolding even more :)

I gave him a first couple of washes for the fur, the skin and the horns. And i received the hooves for him from a friend. But i´m not sure how to fix them to the model...don´t want to cut of his feet...hmm. Any suggestions?

Kera foehunter:

Good choise i like the bigger feet!! they look better with big wings

turquois dwarf:

thanks for the scale picture it looks just the right size big enough to be intimedating but no so big he will make the rider look small.

with the feet I would cut and pin it souldnt take to long as the feet are plastic and it will be very strong. I cant see a way to put the new feet on without cuting the old ones of without spending hours holowing them out.

tjub:

I used the same hooves for my Lammasu, I simply removed the origninal feet and pinned the hooves in place and covered the gap with GS. Thou make sure you use a long pin so it goes from the lower leg - throu the hoof - and down the base for better stability to the model.

Thanky tjub. Due to your good explanation, i was ably to finish the taurus, which needs "only" some wings now:

Kera foehunter:
