Heh! I always thought constructing a bolt thrower would be beyond the technical prowess of the hobbos so in my army. I want it to look like they were of excellent construction. i.e. the Chaos Dwarfs made it! I think I'm going to paint the shield wall bronze with a wash of green to make it look weathered.

For years I've been banging on about improving our mail order service and adding more interesting and characterful models to the range. "Banging on" obviously pays off, because last year I landed the job of reviewing the range and making recommendations for the future of mail order. Some of those recommendations are being worked on at the moment and will start to take effect next year. This includes simple and obvious things such as being able to order a specific individual model from our webstore rather than a random one, making it possible to buy multi-part models as a single purchase rather than having to order every bit separately, and putting previously discontinued models back on sale where there is no current alternative.It could be a good thing!

Tonight I got a bunch done on a number of things. Mainly tonight was a “construction night”.
1) I did a massive amount of beard removal and green stuffing to the Lammasu. I finished the Sorcerer Lord for said Lammasu as well. Currently the GS is drying. Might not photograph him until complete to build it up! I am taking in progress shots thou. Base is drying from glue. More to do on it but mostly ready at this stage.
2) I have successful hacked off my CD Lord Taurus rider. I have him filled down and his weapon removed. His face and curly beard is hacked out as well. Helm has successful dry fitted as well as both weapons that he will be wielding.Big hat is now removed yah! Might be up for grabs for someone…
Still have to get a set of plastic dragon wings for him thou…
3) My 2nd CD unit has all their helms attached now; might do some quick pics tomorrow to show their WIP state.
4) Orcs are coming along I now have the majority washed and dry-brushed. Pics perhaps tomorrow of these as well. Most likey unit to be finished next.
5) First hobbo Bolt thrower is done now. Time to prime and paint it. Plus I just one a second hobbo for the crew of second bolt thrower, beating out SWSNBN to do it!
And lastly the never ending BC saga continues. I now have 12 left sides for the BCs. Now it will be time to order the 12 right sides so I can start on them sometime in the new year (January maybe).

Being the busy CD Lord that I am I have updates! We’ll start with the WIP state of the Big Uns. Now getting closer to completion. Lots more detail to go, but the units coming along nicely. Hopefully within the next week they will be done. UPDATE As of 10:17 PM I’m more then half way finished with these guys! 9 more to go, then paint bases and movement tray, 1,000 point medal just around the corner!
Now for the WIP of the Lammasu. Still not done yet, but the rider is mostly complete at this stage. The head on the Lammasu is the last major thing that is still WIP. I know I said I was going to tease with this, but the Lammasu has been going so well I had to share!
I’m hoping to wrap up the Big Uns because the second CD warrior unit is ready to go as well as my Taurus rider!

Lookin’ good Willmark. Just one criticism; those mold lines are a bit of an eye-sore and I think the model would look a lot better if you removed them.

Assuming you mean the rider? Yeah I noticed them too after photographing them. So I did a bit of filing after the fact. Interestingly enough I noticed some mold lines on the orcs as well.

Since we have been away I have been working away, though I need to pick the pace back up now that we are back online. So as a test I’m doing a small update here to see what we get rather then everything I have all at once. I’ve got 3-4 more sets of photo-updates to add.
Here are the finished Big-Uns! 250 points strong, bringing me to 1,250 points in total. Medal Please when you get done slacking there Mr. Xander 
After this I have updates for my bolt throwers, and WIP pics of my Bull Centaurs, (what a nightmare it was getting the parts from GW: OOS, overcharging, double charging my account, sending to many of the wrong parts, then wanting to send me even more of the wrong parts! The list was endless!)
Also have my first hobbo wolf rider under construction along with a 2nd unit of CD warriors (great axes this time around).
All in all after the next few sets of photos it will be a bit of time before the next updates; mainly because I have to sculpt a bunch for both.
Still waiting on wings for my Taurus, so nothing new there.
My Lammasu is fully “Green Stuffed” and primed. Now it just needs a paint job. May start on the rider tonight.
