Great weapons are still the absurd 3pts for Ziggurat Guard. They are essentially just an elite Dwarf unit but are so much more expensive in points and with fewer special rules than the equivalent from the Dwarf army. I’d like one CD elite unit that is feasible to use.
Skink:
I'd like one CD elite unit that is feasible to use.The Hellsworn seem good to me :). And the Zealots too (4 attacks each at S4, WS4, skirmishers, 5++, unbreakable. Wow).

I must have downloaded the new one and opened the old one, d’oh! Hellsworn look very good - but now I can’t see much benefit in using Ziggurat Guard instead of them. I guess they add a bit of flavour, but they are oddly expensive.
I like the Zealots, bring out my berserkers! I quite like a lot of the list here, a useable dwarf list within the full list gives a lot more options than before.
Bolg:
SO I must Say, I’ve been going through the rule for 9th age and I love them (in combat rank and file can always attack other rank and file, no more character blocks, miscasts are less heavy of you use less power dice, Ethereal means 2+ ward (unless magic attacks) so there is still a chance of hitting them with mundane weapons), sprears get killing blow against all caf… and way more cool updates like this.)
And then I started reading the army lists. wow! Chaos dwarves get so many cool new sculpting options and bull centaurs and kadaai both have 3 attacks.
Woodelfs can be played with forest spirits again, there is an option for your (forrest spirit)general to acsess banners/mucisians for your dryads (who now but skirmish as an upgrade, become hatred when joined by a branch nimph and have S4 again. there is an option for a Treekin hero (who can become the BSB!)
Orc and Gobbos are getting the forrest gobbos back as a serious option. all forest gobbo characters can get poisoned attacks, spiderriders have scout!!, snotlings have scout and thrown weapons (40 poins for 2 bases and that good enough to hold up a warmachine for a few turns) and with the Mark of da Boss rule you ca give one unit of orc/gobbos a magic banner of max 25 points so playing all gobbos will be even more awesome.
empire generals (the kightly one) can now ride a demi grif
I’m really looking forward to start playing 9th age. the only dilemma is. with what army to start!!!
gIL^:
Ive been playing this for about 3 weeks. i have to say im very impressed, i think Chaos dwarfs a really strong, I won most of my games, we seem to get more bang for the buck.
Maybe it’s because we had overpointed units in 8th
BABIS:
the new rules are pretty awesome!
Parish:
I would love to have your feedback guys ! Don’t hesitate to share your army lists and battle reports
Doombeard:

@gil

Rakkzul:
What do you guys think about the blunderbuss and warmachines changes? We should focus on melee now?
Lazerus:
We get a full update on the 21.12. so wait and see
Grimbold Blackhammer:

So a couple of weeks before it is useful to discuss again. Seems an odd way to do it.

Grimbold Blackhammer:
Looking over the new rules, I have to say I really like the majority of them. The Infernal Dwarfs have a fair bit of character and lots of options. The only two stand-outs that just seem wrong to me are the Iron Daemon/Infernal Engine (250 points for 1-3 attacks? Hell no…) and the Blade of Burning Steel (no one is going to pay 45 points for a weapon where I might need a 6 to wound rank and file models or elvish wizards). I also wish the Bull Centaur character was more than just a champion model with magic items but you can’t have everything I guess. Everything else seems pretty solid! I have my first game this weekend so we’ll see how things shake out after that.
Scar:
Yep i’m also totally into 9th age!
LOVE IT!
And to think that its still in beta, i says wow!
They are already changing stuff that GW took years to do and the update come in fast!
Finally i can continue to play the game i have always loved with more internal balance then i have ever seen
As for our chaos dwarfs, we will have to wait for our new rules that will be there the 21th since we have a bit of an OP book atm haha!
Haven’t lost a single game so far.
But so far so good imho, and a bit of a nerf on the book won’t make it terrible!
Since they don’t like to overnerf i’m confident that our book will stay strong
Grimbold: Bull centaur characters can be BSB’s now… So i’m more then happy with that!
And don’t forget that the tank is a chariot with swiftstride so it does d6 s6 impact hits and then it can still grind!
I’m so happy we can finally do something about the stupid Cav block on our tanks that cost so many points.
gIL^:
I find the fact that we can use orcs is just so cool. My current list has 52 of them.
Grimstonefire:
Had a skim through the list, it’s really very good actually. I’m quite impressed.
