dromar:

So you should ask to FW directly ^^

Looks like email answer are completly random, we should ask for a official faqs

Yodrin:

this is quite non sense - I will continue to play it in the same way and to apply the updated rule even for the great taurus ;)

Rmac1990:

I had also asked the same question recently about the burning bright rule. Originally I had asked on here as I had discussions with my opponent regarding the rule, although I decided that in best case I should also ask FW.

"Good evening,

I was hoping you could provide some clarification on the ‘Blazing Body’ rule as found in tamurkhan.

The recent FAQ States for that rule:

“Additionally, any non-Magical attacks must re-roll successful To Wound rolls"

Could you confirm whether this applies specifically for close combat or both close combat and shooting?.

It was brought up this evening in a game as the initial ‘explanation’ of that rule relates specifically to close combat, although the latter part (as per above) does not specifically state whether the rule applies to only combat also.”

“Hi,

Thank you for your email. the answer to your question is -

1. Blazing body applies to Close Combat only in regards to the non-magical attacks listing.”

TheHoodedMan:

Don`t like that but thanks for sharing.

tenebre:

sooooooooo now Destroyer dies on turn 1 from a cannon… or turn 1 from skinks, bowmen etc…

yeeesh i dont get that since no where in the rules would you derive its only from CC

Bloodbeard:

Take it as you want it. An attack is an attack - that’s that.

Let FW update their FAQ if this should be official. FW hasn’t comminicates updated rules to me.

Thanks for sharing though guys. But I’m not gonna go with this, my fireborn models are awesome. But if they die to bow fire they are totally useless.

tenebre:

i concur Bloodbeard. the poor fireborn wouldnt stand a chance.

Yodrin:

I play it as reroll both CC and ranged, and will continue to do so…

sam585:

Just wait for the next faq which will lump us together with orcs and goblins and ogre kingdoms

Baggronor:

Proper FAQ or its no better than a GW shop staffer’s opinion. The last thing we need is K’Daai becoming unusable as well :~

Nicodemus:

I agree with the general consensus, the wording of the rules as written did not seem to be ambiguous regarding CC vs ranged, only magical vs non-magical, so we’ve always done it as CC and ranged and see no reason to change until the FAQ is updated. Flavour-wise it makes no sense that ranged non-magical attacks shout fare better than non-magical CC, but this wouldn’t be the first time flavour didn’t match intended rules :stuck_out_tongue:
