Just curious as I need to ask a few questions.
Which are the biggest forums for them?

Thommy H:
I know Gothic pretty well. Not sure how much of a community it has now though. If you have questions, I might be able to help.
Grimstonefire:
The community was what I was going to ask about.
Or rather the impact of GW’s imminent plan to stop selling all specialist games…
I am curious where people go to discuss them.
In the case of Blood bowl which teams are the most popular and why are the human team twice the cost (£) of the rest? Also why the CD team cost more?
In the cast of BFG how much will people really want to pay for ships once all of them are OOP?
Thommy H:
There are sub-forums on Warseer, but other than that I’m not sure. There were large communities at one time, but I suspect they’ve dried up now since new material stopped coming out.
tjub:
I play Blood Bowl, much more than WFB.
http://www.tloeg.bloodbowlleague.com for our league.
Grimstonefire:
@tjub
As someone who plays the game, why do you think the human team are say 15-25% more expensive (in money not points, if they have points) than the other teams?
I’m guessing it’s because they look to be the newest models? Or are they the most popular?
If it’s the age of the models it’s more understandable, but if it’s the popularity what would that mean for the CD team???
cornixt:
I think that General Chat - Talk Fantasy Football is probably the biggest for Blood Bowl stuff. Used to be talkbloodbowl.org until gw legal got involved.
Da Crusha:
ya talk fantasy football is the best blood bowl forum. also, I think the human team has 16 figures while other teams have 11. not sure about the cd’s.
tjub:
I think BB would be able to stand on its own without GW, no doubt. As for the price I have no idea, havent bought any models from GWs page. There are loads of alternative stuff for BB.
Zuh-Khinie:
The humans are priciest because they’re all new sculpts, and as such have suffered from GW’s increase in pirce, while they can hardly charge you more for a team that has had the same sculpt for the past 15 years… And, the human team also sports 16 players players, whereas most other teams you buy only contain 12 figures.
I’m a big bloodbowl fan, and play it quite a lot actually…
Best forum is indeed talkfantasyfootball, and the biggest miniature site is www.comixininos.com.
Best sculptors (in my book) can be found at http://willy-miniatures.blogspot.be/ and http://www.greebo.it/public/oscommerce2/catalog/index.php
Vogon:
They’re stopping selling all specialist games?
When did (will) this happen?
Cheers

Ugly Green Trog:
I think it’s just the fact that the moulds are probably breaking down now and they can’t be bothered to foot the bill for re tooling them. Specialist games will probably kick around as long as stocks last then start disappearing. It’s the same for the collectors range too, all the regiments of renown and the old imperial guard etc are going too.
Gunnerson:
I would expect to see the see the specialist stuff come back as periodic 1 off special boxed games. Reappearing every few years like Space Hulk, or Man o War(dreadfleet).
Zuh-Khinie:
BloodBowl is actually rumoured as the mistery release for the end of the year… it’d sport 4 teams (all new and unique sculpts).
Story goes that they didn’t do a mistery release last year because Dreafleet wasn’t a success.
AGPO:
Well that sucks, I’ve got to buy my BFG fleets before they go
Skink:
Awww… I always wanted to buy a Warmaster Lizardmen army… Well, I guess it’s never going to happen
Grimstonefire:
@Vogon
From what I understand at some point in the next month they are stopping production of all specialist games models and just winding down stock. It may have already happened.
Presumably they will do a typical GW and instead of carrying on until the last few (or heaven forbid have a firesale), they will all just disappear overnight from the website and the models melted down etc.
I believe that FW have already stopped producing and some BFG items that are already listed as out of stock I don’t think will ever come back in. Some of them will quickly for a day or two etc (I’ve been paying close attention).
I’ve had a bit of a spend and picked a few things to sell later. Keep my hobby self funding.
@Skink
Warmaster is probably the only specialist game where everything is going dirt cheap on ebay. From that as a starting point I can’t see things rocketing up for a while. Unlike the other games (especially BfG).
Skink:
Yeah, if you play Empire or possibly Dwarfs. I’ve never seen any Warmaster Lizardmen in over a year…
French_noodle:
Human BB team contains more models than the others, that’s why they cost more.
I used to play BFG, which is to me the best game GW has ever made, even better than Mordheim. I think due to its very particular esthetics, people are gonna pay quite a lot on ebay when everything will be OOP. There isn’t really good count as on the market right now.
Concerning Warmaster, i never finished to paint my Daemons army, but from what i heard, the game was pretty unbalanced: of course some armies are better (High Elves), but also some types of units (seems like flying units are very strong). That’s not a real problem to me, but apparently, big monsters or characters on dragons are not very interesting to play, which can be frustrating in a game of this scale. I plan to play them anyway, why play a 15 mm game if not to bring big monsters ?
If you read French i can give you the link to the local community, which is pretty active.

Sign up to be part of world ranked tournaments and get dice! They have a forum.
also www.ausbowl.com is good (aussie site)
BloodBowl has a great following I went to a BB tournament recently and there were 24 players… in a Games Workshop store if you can believe it.
It’s easy to convert teams for BB from fantasy models, or there are dozens of 3rd party manufacturers you will find links to on the BB forums.
Also Chaos dwarves are a tier 1 team
