The theme for this Artisans is to create a single piece of Chaos Dwarf terrain. There are no other specific themes (such as industry, mining or religion etc), this is an open terrain contest.
Deadline
The deadline for the submission of entries is 31st December 2009 11:59pm EST.
Rules of the Competition
The maximum size limit is 30cm x 30cm x 30cm
Each member may only enter once.
The model obviously has to be fully painted, and by the person entering it.
How to Enter?
To submit your entry Upload up to 4 photos of your entries to the internet, these cannot be montage shots. Next send a PM to Staff (a special user that all Staff have access to) with links to the images. (Note: This is the same as previous Artisan’s Contests)
WIP shots can be included as part of your 4.
How will this be judged?
On 1st January we will create a 7 day timed poll to decide the winner(s).
If there are more than 10 entries there will be Silver and Bronze Artisan’s medals.
All entrants will be given a number of slaves equalling the total number of entrants (10 entrants = 10 slaves per entrant etc)
This sounds really promising and enjoyable. I’m just hoping that I can think of something quickly, lol I presume that WIP shots are allowed as usual? As long as at least one or two are painted?
This is going to be an exciting one. Since I will move to a new appartment end of the year / early Jan, I’m not so sure if I can find enough time to enter something though…
It is terrain. So models can only be included if they are attached to it (i.e. not just sitting a model on a base ontop of a hill etc).
Some models could be fun in a CD forest for instance, with logging machines etc.
Bear in mind that this is not a diorama contest though, it will be made clear in the voting poll that it is the quality of the terrain that should be judged primarily.
The contest is on the terrain itself not any rules you may associate with it so if you create some that’s up to you, but it will not be part of the submissions for voting.
"Well dont hold back or anything… tell us how you really feel."
I do.
Also, I fail to see how this fits in with the Artisan’s Contest “theme” which was supposed to be a competition for the less artistically/modelling inclined and thus skewed toward other forms of creativity.
