I don’t understand!! you ask lets us know how you feel ,then you follow it up. Its not a contest it for fun. Then you ask us to vote on the best
to me that sound like compeditive. Pluss the best one get voted on by the site, also you get metal for it . The site also pomotes metal as being the best here ! The more metals the better the member

That is something we (staff and members) have looked at a few times in the past, whether the artisans things need to be contests at all.
The alternative would be we just all make something and discuss, but no ‘reward’ and no winners.
I think the general consensus is that there is an interest in them being contests.
As a forum we are quite good at congratulating people for things inside and outside of competitions. So there�?Ts no reason for people not to have fun by making things alongside a contest and just not entering it. Either way people have fun, and ultimately they end up with something.
That imo is the main purpose of the artisan�?Ts, to inspire people to create things they may not otherwise have done, not just to have a competition for the sake of it.
btw Why don't we have a metal for having the most fun !!!!

Actually, we kind of do. :P
And yes, GRNDL was correct in saying that the AC was about having a competition that those less artistically inclined could enter. However, AC has yet to find it's niche yet, and we've been evolving the contest every time. For now we've settles, as Grim said, on a contest for encouraging other aspects of the hobby aside from your army's miniatures: Tokens, Rules, Lore, Terrain... anything that's a part of the hobby that's not strictly the models you compose your army of.
In the future, we may have contests,as Bagg suggested, like Illustrations. Who knows what else we could do: Movement trays, Army Scenic Bases, Flag Designs, etc. The AC is (now) about exploring all the facets of the hobby. :)
Well i did a few drawings for my entry and found a few materials to use but ive decided that its going to be wayyyy too big for me to be able to finish it within 3 weeks and i doubt it would have turned out that good anyway. So im out of this one.
I’ve been busy getting Christsmas presents for all members of my family lately and there is also no XMas vacation jobwise, so I’m kinda late too.
I had hoped to make something for my CD again after having done only stuff for 40k recently. Maybe I’ll be able to enter something, will depend on how much I can get done within the next few days.
the 31st is still a week away, might be some time for others to complete and message in with untold greatness. Hopefully time and creativity will be more generous to the Dawi inspirations this time of year. For the life of me, i couldnt come up with a concept - now i think i have a few - getting them hashed out and looking presentable in just 7 days… well tools to the ready…
Can’t make it, sorry. My parents stayed over a few days more than planned (they’re only here like 2 times per year) and so I couldn’t get anything done.
Gloating??? I’m not gloating at all. I think it’s sad that no one seems to be able to enter this one. I think, it an awesome idea for the AC comp - and would have entered myself. Just can’t find the time during the holiday season.
So there is no ‘between the lines’ or gloating attitude meant here, so I’m sorry if anyone should feel offended, wasn’t my intention, at all.
