It actually does matter.
At tournaments it is generally considered good form to have your figures on the right sized bases.
Not that I care all that much about tournies, but I enter them often enough that it is a factor I have to take into account.

I’m not rebasing my BCs until the new models are out. All we know so far is that a ForgeWorld guy has said they intend to make them 50mm square, but who knows what they will eventually be. I’ll put a couple of blank cavalry bases between the models for now to bulk them out a bit.
