[Archive] Bolg's Blog of other stuff on a butget... (pic heavy)

tjub:

Cute, and well done!

bas_2312:

Holy frak that’s awesome! Now I have to find a way to top that… ;p

Bolg:

Thanx guys. And Bas_2312 I’m looking forward to your markers (:

Here are mine all paintes up:

Sorry, pic heavy, I’m quite happy with the result (:

vulcanologist:

Ha ha! Great stuff as always Bolg!

Bolg:

So a while ago I was making all these Treekin from scratch.
But as I’m now completely Goblin crazy I dont use those. I also have about 8 trolls (unpainted) but I wanted to put a unit of 10 trolls in one of my goblin armies for the campaign. Yesterday I proxied my tree kin as trolls and as I use the classic forest goblins as night goblins that looked kinda cool.  So I thought. If is sculpt one or 2 extra treekin that look a bit more trollish I could defiantly get a way with using the these models in both my armies.

Here is my first treetroll WIP:

I think this is going to work quite well.
(and yes thats right I sculpted him a penis)

Bassman:

Interesting tree troll. I like the idea!

Kera foehunter:

Love the squigs there very cute and colorful

Nice tree thingy too

Note for self : Don’t eat candy at Tjub’s house

Bolg:

Thanx. here is the finished result:

Already started working on a 2dn treetroll (with a classic troll pose)

Thorne:

Bolg:

Bolg:

Thanx (: And yes i’ll make pics of my forrest gobbos a.s.a.p.

bas_2312:

Kera foehunter:

Need hair ! But not on his cute little pot bellie

Bolg:

No, he’s not getting any hair, not even on his balls (how very american).

Oh and the campaign is underway so I sculpted these markers for the senario’s:

2 are made from scratch, and then I had some left over mold stuff so I made a mold of one of them and the other 4 are copies, they came out quite good so I will use more for other projects and fillers.

Oh and I’ve started on a Gobbo hero on Giant Cave Squigh (using a walnut as base to keep the cost off greenstuff to a minimun):

and a flying squig to replace the doomdiver in my al squigh list:

bas_2312:

Flying squig of DOOOOOOOM!

tjub:

A flying squib sounds nasty…

Bolg:

We are using a 2nd hand map from our game store, so some markers are missing.

I suggested we all make the stuff we need.

So I made 2 fortresses, one with attached city.

2 mines

and 2 shrines - An Idol of Gord and an Idol of Mork

all together:

I have no clue what they do in the campaign so I will just try to build all of them.

Oh and I finished the squigdiver, quite happy with the result, i want to make another one in a more dynamic pose.

Bassman:

Stop making so much cool stuff! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Were did you get the squig wings?

I love your green stuff style that’s why I annoy you with suggestions:

your creations looks a little bit “gummy”. It’s ok because they are organic stuff, not so much armor, but for example the squig face need some sharper edges and smoother transitions between one layer of greenstuff and the other. It’s pretty obvious you sculpt using “sausages” of green stuff. You need to “merge” them together smoothing the surface.

If you get what I tried to say with my bad English…
