[Archive] Clam's Coloured Classic Collection (pic heavy) - various stuff

Shakhorth:

Looks sick, looks evil. In other words, it looks fantastic!

Btw how did ya paint the red beard? I normally add a little yellow, but your way is very nice.

Loki:

WOW :o Amazing work once again my friend, he looks totally awesome, what a great model for a army general full of character and the paint jobs really bring this out, my hat comes off to you sir :hat off

Sjoerdo:

hey! you stole mu idea!!! :o

Well he just looks best with a red beard and a skull tone helemt, great minds think alike

clam:

Lol! - what a trendy beard and helmet  - looking so great (all of them), my lord :hat off Really like the blue skin on the Gnome. Seeing him makes my wanna go prime the guy, right now and start painting him.

And then thanks for all the nice comments - but seeing the pictures - I think a will add just a few more highlights guys, cause yes, Obsidian he needs a few extreme highlight. And yes the base looks rather blue on the pictures. I really don’t know how to use the Black/white setting on my camera. Without it they turn yellowish - and when I adjust it to white background the turn out blue ?? :~ All I can say is that it isn’t that blue in real life - but I will give that green wash a thought.

Sjoerdo:

Your base is awesome! WOuldn’t overdo it with highlights, maybe some small touches with a very watered down paint.

Looking forward to your version of the gnome!

clam:

I’ll paint the gnome - when you finish that blunderbuss/warrior combo guy - deal

Next in line to receive some paint is another 2 or 3 Kees figs (oh, did I give my GH entry there, so sorry  - but can’t be that much of a surprise).

Zanko:

Hey dude!

Brilliant paintjob on these awesome minis! :hat off

Like always I’m jealous of your skills!

Please go on and enlight me with your work! :cheers

Apropos work - could you post soome pics of your complete CD army?!

                     :hashut

clam:

Thanks mate - my pleasure. Haven’t see you round in a while. Have the work load eased down a bit?

I was with some old friends in Austria (in Göttlesbrunn near Vienna) for a long weekend! :cheers

Moreover the job is really demanding in the moment and at home I renovate the basement (the remnant of the burst pipe last winter) - so no real time for painting or converting some stuff. :mad

I'm trying to build a zeppellin for my CDs in the moment ... I'm just at the beginning so to say in the planning and organisation phase! :D

Borador:

nice paintjob mate, looks great IMO. Keep it up!

clam:

Thanks, Borador

And like any good spin doctor I’ll drop this piece of news - today (where all seems so excited about Warhammer Forge and the new Chaos Dwarfs) - so hopefully no one will notice, that I forgot to give the bases a final last brush of Chaos Black.

More Blunderbusses

And a few shots of the loader with the GH XII gunner:

And then the 12 man strong unit - so far:

Fequiil:

i like 'em!

This message was automatically appended because it was too short.

Anno:

What a beautiful job! I really like!

Loki:

Great work mate as always really great paint job on them all

Obsidian:

Very nice mate! :cheers

tjub:

Looks great Clam, how many points do you have painted now?

clam:

Thanks guys

@tjub
10,000pts but only because of my home made bad-Ass-Cannon rules (the rules says that it costs 9,500pt - a true game breaker) :stuck_out_tongue:

Something like 4-500pt - but I’m stripping a few of them again - as I’ve adjusted the painting scheme.

Blue in VT:

Clam,

I love the subtle green armor on your weapons crews…very chaos-y with out being obnoxious.

Keep up the good work!

zobo1942:

And now, a questions about something waaaaaaaaaaaaay back at the beginning of the thread - I really like the tree on your scenic base for the ‘ass cannon’. I’ve made seven or eight trees, and they look OK, but nowhere as good as yours.

How did you make that tree?

clam:

It’s quite simple really, as it’s a plastic tree branch from a “Citadel Wood”:
