I’ll be in Florida starting today so I will not be able to get anything done this weekend. I should have my first 9 IG done when I’m back though. Kdaai are nearing completion.

Here is an update, these guys should be done by tomorrow and primed shortly thereafter. A few details around the hats and scales in the front need to be finished up. I also realized I didn’t do anything with the mask on one so I need to fix that as well. 
Im getting better and better at sculpting and find it very enjoyable and relaxing. Makes the project a little bit more fun for me as well.

The base of a Kdaai, he needs fire added to the naked spots and a few details. Added in a beard. Then a base swap and wham! Fireborn.

Five Dawi Zharr ready to be painted sometime this week. Four need a little work on their hats and they will be ready.
I know there are mistakes in the green stuffing. I got over it, its all part of the learning process.
My kdaai again.
Not the best angle since its green it wouldn’t really show the added flames. Gonna bulk em out, remove the sword and finish with more fire and he will be done.

These are two out of 5 K’Daai. The bases of these two will need to be done. I believe I will go get some pebbles from the yard, smash them up real good and spread them around it. Paint them as if they were suddenly covered in soot.
As for these little guys I should have them painted by the end of tomorrow or saturday. Also I got a batch of fire Infernal Guard with the basic coats of paint. They should be done shortly as well.

I smash up the rocks they use in BBQ thingies for some of my terrain. It has lots of small air pockets that give an edge to highlight.
you can see the textures that come out in some of the pic’s in my army slog. the “waystones” were made of the same rocks and were cut using an angle grinder

Alright while I was working on the next batch of five IG I got frustrated somehow over nothing. Ended up preventing me from finishing them from my deadline of today, they’re near completion though but other than that I figure I was just upset with my self for being such a slow painter. 
Here is a snap shot of most of my current army with odds and ends. There are several models not on the table for various reasons due to their current condition. If you notice my IG that aren’t weilding weapons have no arms. This was remedied tonight.
See? Anyways I got a sculpting kick and should be able to push. All in all I have only 3 models to sculpt for my current two-handers (not sure what I want to use them as) The thunderer models are untouched but I will hack 'em to bits soon.
Mostly done with the IG as is from my last iteration of this army from like 2008. They’re mostly stripped and about to be under the knife. The K’Daai took no time, got 2.5 to finish. Major issue is my directionlessness right now, I am pulling at all ends of the project but not accomplishing much at all. Closing the rant off, Just wanted a blurb of my progress. Enjoy.

Forgive me for the absence of pictures(Been real busy with the ol’ life), but, I do want to say that I’ve just about finished sculpting my IG and another K’Daai. I also started to repaint my original death rocket seen earlier in the thread. Second K’Daai is nearly done being painted and those earlier IG as well.
There should be pics in the next day or two.

Great to see some paint on these, the flames look great. It is kind of hard to see any other detail in the photos though, try hitting the models with some more light!
