Those pirates are gonna be great and just like Dawi Zharr pirates should be. They remind me of Waterworld Smokers.
Wearing a diving helmet around that beard might be a problem - getting a tight fix. I once ran in to a surprise cloud of german tear gas (thought it was a smoke) and due to my warrior beard the gas mask wouldn’t fit tight. … Of cause I only figured that after exhaling, blowing the gas from the mask and then taking a deep breath.
Your stuff is looking good. What are you gonna use the mannuth as? A Destroyer? or is it just for the awesome model.

I would have to use it as a destroyer. But getting people onboard during a game might be difficult. The model can barely fit on a 150x100 base
My hobgoblins are going to be duel purpus as goblins so i would use it as an arachok spider.
I gotta watch waterworld again and get some inspiration.
Haha i didn’t think of that BB the helmet is used to show he’s the boss i don’t think it functions :D. Dwarfs can’t swim

Ok warning picture is fuzzy as sin and the model isn’t really up to stratch but im looking for opinions on the size and the scale of what my hobgoblins may be.
Is the head to big? Ive asked several people and it’s split, What do you slavers think?

Well mantic goblins are real cheap, So i do want to use them but do i really want to get half way and regret it?

The body looks slightly smaller to me too, but slightly, maybe if you work well on it, nice base and well painted you wont notice

The proportions don’t match perfectly, but hmfood enough. I think it’ll look right with paint.

Quick update, I haven’t done much but im in the process of painting another 10 Infernal Guard and converting a warband for Regiments of Renown Here we go.
Not much different but i gave him a pistol, It gives him a more Imposing posture i feel.
Here is my Regiment of Renown and also my pirates, Just the start. Big thx to Bloodbeard for donating a few pirate bits, Check out the pipe

PS i ditched my hobgoblins.I was also going to say it's big but not too big (look at GW's Goblins - it's not like they're really scaled in any normal way).
