Thanks MadHatter; played my first game of Kings of War earlier and won, so that’s something - had insanely good luck with rolls, normally roll pretty poorly but was getting a lot of sixes (two or three times I rolled six dice and each time got four sixes! :o)

Just have lousy health.  Suffer from back pain and have a curved spine (going to hospital tomorrow for pre-admission for major surgery to have scaffolding installed around it).

Well my usual birthday salute goes something along the lines of "congratulations. You've succesfully made it one year closer to your experation date!" or when peope turn 27, "Congratulations. You have 365 days left to join the club!".

@Bloodbeard: probably more like Kickass than Wolverine (not sure though haven’t read the Kickass comic and been ages since I saw the film version of it lol) - it’s going to be metal rods rather than plating the bones in metal. Also no idea if the surgeons are just going to secure everything in place or if they’ll straight the curvature out while they’re at it. Considering my spine is shaped like
