Vogon:
This is the response I got from Forgw World when asking what Age of Sigmar will mean for the Chaos Dwarfs.
Good morning,
Thanks for your email. As you can imagine we are all excited about Age of Sigmar and what it means for Warhammer Forge. At this moment in time we are unable to share information about this though, as I am sure you can understand. My advice would be to sign up to the Forge World newsletter as this is the first place you will hear anything regarding this.
The good thing is, you won’t have much longer to find out!
Thanks
So it sounds like plans might be in place but they’re not sharing until after AoS ships.
I’ll be heading to the Forge World Open Day on 5th July so I will make a point of asking what their plans will be.
Cheers
Vogon

How do you feel about my ideas around infantry and the "normal" Bull Centaurs?

Believe me, dozens and dozens of people here have done exactly that, put together lists bridging Ravening Hordes, Dwarf list, O&G list, entirely new units. Every feasible combination has been thought of.
Your ideas are good, but with two big flaws;
firstly that FW are unlikely to ever bring out hobgoblins on foot.
secondly that FW built upon the principles of the previous CD material but didn't and don't think of players with existing collections.

Perhaps too much fear and paranoia over something that may be really awesome?
From what I’m getting from a combination of BOLS & my local GW manager (speculation obviously) is that AoS will be a 3 pronged game. 1 will be a fully supported re-release of 8th edition, the game we are playing now, but with all the hazy rules cleared up. 1 will be a skirmishing game of some sorts. And 1 will be a beginner’s version of warhammer that is not so hard to understand for newer players. Kind of a version of the game that is balanced for 500 points.
I’m not too worried about it. We’ll always be able to play tamurkhan and any other race that we can now. And I’m sure they’ll be periodically releasing battlescroll rules for new units they produce for every existing army whereby we can pick and choose from the new units and old.
I eagerly await the next 2 weeks. woo! Have faith guys.

Will be interesting to see how they update the chaos dwarfs for age of sigmar, as for the design change our legion of azgorh units look like they fit in quite nicely with the warhammer aesthetic changes, with our all encompassing armor, and super bestiary looking bull centaurs. Our warmachines are also very futuristic looking, so I am very optimistic about our legion of azgorh collections being compatible in some form.

Infernal guards will age really well. They will always have the new look to new players and classic look to older players. As far as models we are in a good position. They will always be dwarfs.
BTW Infernal Guard on rounds is a huge improvement to squares. They actually fit.
