Howdy all, As you all know games day UK is 18 days away.
I think it would be a good idea to get a roll call of the board members who are attending and then have folks volunteer to “Scout” certain information out of the Tamurkhan book.
From the French GD scouting we determined the number of units, the Lore of Hashut, and the magical items.
So what information would be most useful to the community for play testing and such in order to give feedback?
1. I would like to get the special rules and items for Drazhoath the Ashen. Rule "Dark Renown, and equipment “Hell heart amulet” “Demonspite crucible” and “The graven Scepter.”
2. I would like some clarification on the hobgoblin/wolfriders point costs.
3. I would like further clarification on the DQM Cost,template size, and effects.
4. I would like information about The Naphta Bomb and Blood of hashut, and Darkforged weapon choices for the Sorcerer-Prophet.
5. Could we get clarification on if the GT and Lamassu will use the same stat lines and point costs as the SoM book or if the values will be different.
Are there any other big holes in our information that we could get scouted?

I agree with the above. The DQM tempalte size still feels like an issue, or it's in-game effect. For the price point ($) of the model, it's points cost and it's in-game effect seem rather disjointed. For such an expen$ive model I would have expected a (perhaps) slightly higher points cost along with a bigger in-game effect, part of that could be covered by a larger template size. As it stands, it's not such an amazing warmachine that I'd want to run multiples of them in my army... not unless I scratch built additional models instead of purchasing them.
Naptha Bomb, Pistol and some of the specific character rules would be good too!
Great idea, I was thinking of trying to organise something similar.
I thought we could get everyone going to focus on a specific subset of the list(i.e. one person focuses on Core, one on Rare, one on magic items). That way we could hopefully ensure we know as much about the book as possible.
One of the things I really want to know, is who has stubborn? It looks like the infernal guard no longer have it but do the Castellans?
Well I plan to get there early and head pretty much straight to the FW table to pick up my order and a copy of the new book which the FW representative said they will have limited number of available.
So assuming I manage to get a book I would be happy to help you guys out with your questions after the event.
spikedog there seems to a fair bit of confusion around that fact and a poster (Time of Madness) with a contact at forgeworld has said the book will not be available to buy at gamesday, only pre-order.
I think we should prepare for each eventuality. I intend to get there early as well and rush to the forgeworld stand as soon as I can, if I get the book I�?Tm happy to meet up with anyone else there to let them take a look, or indeed answer questions when I get home.
I’ll certainly be planning a visit to the FW sales stand first then a trip to the WF showing off stand (not sure what that’s called) so if I can’t get the book at the Sales stand I’ll be sure to get some pics from the book on view.
I hope there will be book available to buy but there are mixed messages coming out of the guys on the end of the phone at FW so all I can do is ready with my card on the day.

P.S. how much interest is there in the book outside of CD online? There doesn’t seem to be much hype on warseer but i don’t frequent that as much as it is blocked from work and I’ve no idea about any of the other races involved. What is the actual likelihood of them selling out on the day (assuming they have any to sell)?

I am super curious of the Blood of Hashut and Darkforged Weapon. I am also very curious of the unit choices, magic items, and the lore of Hashut, and what changed from the France GD preview list!
I’d be interested in the details for the special character riding the bale taurus. I’m not going to Gamesday this year, but will be hovering over the interwebs waiting for any photos, bits of info to come out from Forge World.
Having taken a bit of a financial hit recently my GD spending has dropped dramaticly so I will be aiming for Throne of Chaos and little else so I imagine I will have a bit of free time with which to pester the WF design team, I haven’t seen the GD france list yet so am unsure of looking for anything specifically but I will be asking about the DQM bang per buck issue.

I actually live in Seattle so in warhammer terms that is somewhere near the plain of spiders in Naggaroth.
My contribution is helping organize this.

I’d love someone to check on an update on the Lore of Hashut, specifically the signature effect. Its so terrible, it must wrong… +d3 to cast spells 1 and 3, on TK characters and WE monsters?
Just been on the Forgeworld facebook site and someone has asked the question
“Is there any chance of a pre-release of The throne og chaos book on Games Day?”
There is no actual reply but forgeworld have “liked” the question. Maybe clutching at straws but could it indicate a small possibility the book will be available to buy?
I don’t recall anyone stating it, but I wonder if anyone attending would be able to find out just how close the Lore of Hashut in the France GD copy is to the final. Or if they still plan to even have a Lore of Hashut.
OK in preparation for the event, could some kind (and more technically knowledgeable) soul explain how I can post pictures directly from an android phone?
