Bolg:

So does anyone know if the chaos dwarf zombie ninja is worth something (how much)?

Bolg
The price of that model fluctuates quite a bit. Most of the time it goes for 0.99p-£2 but other times people bid way too high and it can get up to £8+. Ive been trying to get hold of one for ages but whenever i actually remember to look for one it always goes for way more than i want to spend. I would pay a max of probably £4 for it.

Pyro Stick
Thanx for the info I paid ,4.30 for it so thats about right.
(but its not worth reselling it)

I've been trying to get my hands on some 3rd edition models but there quite expensive.
Any way to include the going rates of some of the 3rd edition stuff as well?

Time of Madness:

Gents! Can anyone tell me what’s going on with Hobgoblins?

I’ve been trying to add some of these buggers to my army, however they have been going for ridiculously high prices on ebay.

Here’s some examples

High Priced Hobgoblins :frowning:

Even More High Priced Hobgoblins :frowning:

These Prices Make Me Sad

Maybe the going rate thread should be updated :frowning: I haven’t seen hobgoblins go cheap on ebay for a while now.

I think when hobgoblins are sold in big lots like that they tend to go for really high prices but when they are sold individually or in lots of two or three they tend to be a better bargain. This isnt a good sign for me either as i had hoped to add a unit of archers to my army and to up my unit of hobgoblins by 8 to 20.

Yeah I have noticed it too. "Regular" Hobgoblin wolf riders are going for stupidly high prices on ebay. The regular wolf boyz are going for more then the hero and standard bearer wlf riders in auctions. The wolf bowmen are expensive and the axemen are just silly. Saw 5 wolf axemen go for 70pound.

starscream:

wow.

I have a few hobbos at home, am glad I got them when I did.

I’m reaching the stage when I keep seeing CD minis fetching good prices and I need to make a decision to go back to mine or sell them on.

bas_2312:

Holy crap, can anyone explain this to me? 47 pounds for a Death Rocket? :o

omg..........................

Its not even the right crew!!!! If anyone from here is the one bidding on that then retract your bid right now! Thats just ridicolous and still 5 hours left.

Inquisitor:

My two cents:

The ridiculous prices we are seeing are being driven by demand from people who have a) too much money and b) no real idea of the relative value of the pieces they are buying, and the demand from these people I think is being driven by the rumours that CDs might be making a comeback in the coming year.

Please note this isnt a statement of rumour or my endorsement thereof, I am just saying that I have noticed a much greater amount of talk and interest in Chaos Dwarfs in the last year in my local gaming environment, and think that kind of increased general interest is responsible for the increase in yahoos paying exorbidant prices and driving values up… you know, kind of like the Vancouver housing market prior to the Olympics

gIL^:

The prices are sick. Im trying to make a hobgoblin army ( rather foolish ) and its impossible to win anything, Never have normal mini’s been more expensive!

zobo1942:

I suppose there is a great opportunity for some talented individuals to start sculpting…

Gar Shadowfame:

i guys that 60% of this cd are recasts anyway

Blue in VT:

What would you dwarfs guess is a fair price for the old school CD swivel gun and mortar?

thanks!

Around £6-8 each? I personally wouldnt pay even that anymore but that seems to be around the middle of what they go for now. I sometimes see them go for close to £15 which is just ridicolous. Its a shame that a lot of collectoes have more money than sense when it comes to chaos dwarfs.

zobo1942:

Regarding Hobgoblin Wolfriders - I was at a games store today that had some on the shelf, new in blister, for $8.50CAN each… and they they had the hobgoblin head honcho-guy for I think $15 or so… are they worth picking up?

I also picked up the Albion Dark Emissary - for $13.

It doesn't sound cheap, but for that price, I too would buy them. It is not like you are getting a bargain, but you are not being ripped-off either. Good find.
