[Archive] Hashut in the 40st Millenium

Godbob and his jolly rogers:

I was wondering if there could be a chance that chaos would serve Hashut in 40K as some serve Mala and other renagad Gods

So what do you think could there be a Hashut worshipping CSM army?

snowblizz:

Hashut as some sort of Demonic power? Probably.

Hashut as some sort of Chaos Dwarf god. No.

Oh, and there is no Malal or “renegade” Chaos Gods. Certainly lesser powers, but are they “gods”?, I wouldn’t think so.

Thommy H:

The line between “daemon” and “god” is non-existent in both Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000: a Chaos God is just a very powerful daemon and the four main Chaos Gods are daemons of the most primal emotions and urges of sentient creatures.

So if you want to create Chaos Space Marines dedicated to Hashut, there’s nothing stopping you. There’s no particular reason he doesn’t exist in 40K too and it might be amusing to throw some Chaos Squats in the army or something.

Salmanazar II:

Hi everybody ! It’s my first post, I’m new here. I’m from Switzerland, so I DON’T really speak, and write, English, sorry for my (futur) mistakes…

Yes, for the question, Hashut in 40k . . In the Chaos Deamons codex, there is the wonderful Soul Grinder. and all the soul grinders are from the Forge of Souls, and there is a Master of the Forge. He isn’t a chaos god, and probably not a deamon prince or a greater deamon. . I think he is the form of Hashut in wh40k. They have both the same “desire” of production and industrialisation, and they are from the warp, too… why not ?! Perhaps, those who worship the Master of the forge are the Black/Dark Mechanicum (in the Codex csm) and they are like a “sect” ,only them can worship the MoF, like/as only the Chaos dwarfs can worship Hashut…

Grimstonefire:

There are some good points there Salmanazar (welcome to the forum!)

I like the idea of a Dark Mechanicum, technological progress appears to be dead in the Imperium, but there’s no limit for CSM.  We know there are races that are either more advanced than the average (necrons), or more capable of using technology (tau), so with the vast number of races out there there’s a strong chance there will be one close to the warp that is advanced.

This of course doesn’t have to mean it would be chaos squats, but the possibility is there.

GRNDL:

So, anyone going to do CD40K?

maelzch:

A guy called Mat Birdoff did a Thousand Squats army a while ago:

A couple of years ago (2000 or 2001) I met a guy with an *actual* Chaos Squat 40k army (using CSM rules) at a campaign-tournament. That was fairly impressive.

cornixt:

Hashuts Chosen had/has an iron Warriors army based on Astragoth conversions.

wallacer:

All hail Megabull!

This message was automatically appended because it was too short.

Ishkur Cinderhat:

I would kinda find it funny if “Hashut 40k” was indeed the secret patron god of the Minotaurs Space Marines Chapter. They are a secretive cursed founding chapter after all and a bull head is their symbol. As everybody knows, I am especially fond of this chapter.

Godbob and his jolly rogers:

I wasn’t saying that they were CD worshiping them or that I was argueing that he is a chaos god (he’s a sub-God)

I was wanted to see your views on the fact that he is in 40K and was wondering who (or what) worshiped him although I like the idea of the Dark Mechanics

Thommy H:

or that I was argueing that he is a chaos god (he's a sub-God)
No, he is a Chaos God.

No, he is a Chaos God.

Thommy H
Is he?

Wow I thought that any God under the 4 brothers were counted as sub-God

Perturabo:

The only difference between gods and daemons in GW-land is scale: gods are big daemons, and daemons are small gods.

I agree the master of the daemonic forge is a good candidate for being Hashut in 40k.

Viskar Zhragoth:

Or in 40k, Hashut has duped the populace…He could be the machine god…

Actually, the forger is probably an apt pace to put him as far as what is out there so far…But I’d rather he was the god of a planet and a chaos marine chapter…and I’ve seen a very well done chaos squat marine army before…I wonder if it was the same one snowblizz…

But Ishkur, go witht he minotaurs…I like it!

Willmark:

I don’t really think Hashut is all that concerned about the 41st millennium. Could be wrong, but I’m not seeing it.

Swissdictator:

I agree with Willmark. I don’t see him in 40k personally, as it just doesn’t seem to mesh right for me.

If he had to be found in 40k, as there are traitor legions of Guard… logically some traitor squats exist (in my opinion). Perhaps they follow Hashut then, as an engineering or fire god… or their equivalent of the Machine Spirit.

X-Porter:

I think subtlety would be key in doing a Hashut-themed 40K army.

Do a Chaos army with a firey bull emblem, throw in the Rune of Hashut, lot’s of vehicles/artillery/deamon engines. If you write them any fluff, just allude to a “Dark God of Fire and Industry” and don’t name any names.

The forces of Chaos do seem to get a lot of new technology. The Chaos fleets in BFG have a couple of escort ships identified as using technology foreign/superior to the Imperium…

Perturabo:

Nice idea. Perhaps originally a faction of the Iron Warriors booted off Medrengard for preaching about the ‘new Omnissiah’ being greater than Perturabo?
