TheHoodedMan:
The work of the month May was dedicated to the Machine God to kickstart my Adeptus Mechanicus Force.
Assembled about 800 pts now and here are the first painted ones, only decals missing:

and the Onager Dunecrawler base:

Im going to do about 1500+ pts purely Admech at the end, but will start with about 1000 at first and then playtesting a little before investing for the rest. <br>Next week I
m on family vacation and beginning of June is reserved for AC.
Miasma:
Very nice, I like the freehand cog symbol on the cloak

Cool!

Praise the Omnissiah! They look good, not least the bases. Will follow with interest!

Fuggit Khan:
Honestly, I did not like these models when I first saw them on the GW website.
But I like yours! Very cool!
And the bases are beautiful as well (even if they are round ;P)
TheHoodedMan:
Wow, so much feedback for non-chaos dwarfs ;).
Thank you very much, guys, for looking into this thread and giving it so much appreciation. I`ll post further finished models here and promise to work further on my chaos dwarfs and an entry for Artisans Contest in June :cheers.
Admiral:
Looking forward to both AC entry and Ad Mech updates!
Wouldn’t be too surprising if there’s quite an interest on CDO in Mechanicus miniatures. After all, Chaos Dwarfs and Ad Mech have much in common: Both are freakish inventors and forgers steeped in mysticism and secrecy, possessing great military and political power, as well as influence over, yet depence on their larger home spheres which they hang on to as an empire within an empire (Chaos, the Imperium of Man). And both are factions that have long been fringe in the focus of GW, yet have always loomed large in the background. Loads of similarities, loads of craziness that you can’t help but like.
Bloodbeard:
I think it’s neat that there has been added an entirely new army to Warhammer 40k.
Your paintjob is really good Hood, you’ve improved a lot as a painter during your time here on the forums - that’s cool to follow. The Mars style bases work nice.
Now bring the big beast for that dining plate of a base!
I might end up buying a box of these dudes one day. I see some great Chaos Dwarf potential in them.

I'm not surprised at all, as other have said the similarities between the two armies are numerous, also as hobbyists I think we can all appreciate the models that GW have released for the new faction, personally it is taking a huge amount of effort not to splash the cash on this army as I already have a collection of 4th edition CD that I want to complete as well as a growing Sisters of Battle Force, although my will is being severely weakened seeing them here
TheHoodedMan:
I didnt want to tempt you ;-). In my gaming environment there are a few 40k players. Until Admech I didn
t find a faction for me which felt comfortable and honestly the 30k models are great but not reasonable priced at all.
Sisters of battle are awesome models, too, especially with that new raging heroes kickstarter (but that`s a topic for itself).
Lazerus:
Nice Models and very good Painting. Please more of them
TheHoodedMan:
Thanks, today some information leaked that there will be a formation with all skitarii units, some cult mechanicus and a knight with a lot of major advantages. That means that all models will be playable together and even get benefits. Not that I played a single 40k game til now but this sounds very good (or bad for my bank account, how you take it;))
TheHoodedMan:
Some news on the Martian Front. Infiltrator unit completed.

Miasma:
very nice indeed

The models I`ve painted in June.

5 Infiltrators and 10 Vanguard are painted now.

Nice skittari !

Admiral:
Wow, you’ve made a great model justice. Good choice of colours. Your painting has improved, and I hope you fare well in the contest. Magos Xenologis Stanislav is a neat leader for your Mechanicus army. That model alone is making me itch for painting my Skitarii…
