[Archive] Immortal look

I was just thinking that imortals would have really long and massive beards that could go onto the base or be like tied around there waists?

It would be like putting a rally long dreadlock beard on an iron breaker that has been convertes t olook like a CD.

I would love any more ideas. :cheers

Grimstonefire:

I always thought they would look cool with beard plaits that sort of flow into their armour. Like they are interwoven between the various parts of the armour.

If I can work out how to sculpt one properly over beards I think a bevor would look good as well (armour that protects neck and chin)

Willmark:

My personal opinion is that the metal longbeards from the 6th edition dwarf range would be a great place to start.

wallacer:

Covered in armour, covered in weapons, beards with skulls tied to the end of them.

Persian helmets with Chainmail coifs to conceal their faces.

Ancient shields with runes engraved into them.

Their primary weapon should be a scimitar or shamshir.

Malificant:

i like the idea of ironbreakers w/ dreadlocked beards, although the helmets may need some work. they dont look assyrian enough, though i dont think immortals should have big-hats.

I think everyone around these parts has seen 300 one too many times.

Malificant:

chaos dwarf immortals and the 300 version of persion immortals are very different. those were more like wardancers to me. chaos dwarf immortals i see more like a stuntier version of teutogen gaurd.

TheChaosDwarfBehemeth:

yeah thats what i was thinking

Kera foehunter:

i say chaos hellcanon guys would look better.

Or chaos dwarf versions of longbeards/iron breakers...

WarplockMonkey:

Totally encased in armour, with the dreadlock beard comeing down just above the feet

Also, some dark robes would look quite cool

Willmark:

Again with the 300 referrences! Guys Gav obviously borrowed the name but thats about all. Because if not: then the CD immortals have to use whicker shield, little to no armor and swords (which by most historical accounts is what they actually used). All of which are very undwarfy, let alone very chaos undwarfy.

Actually, i've never seen it at all.

OFF TOPIC: the movie wasnt tthat great really. the first time it had wow factor, the second time i saw it it was kinda dull actually. good for backround noise while gaming, thats about it.

ON TOPIC: i agree wilmark. hell, how do we even know that is where he got the same from? it just sounds cool. maybe he watched highlander too much. in either case, they should have lots of armor, big beards, enclosed helmets, and wicked looking bladed weapons. i say bladed because the fluff fits more.

Kera foehunter:

Malificant!!!Kera Point to the door

51la5:

completely covered in armor and spikes with there beard tired round there body and huge two handed weapons.

Off-topic: I never saw 300. Never saw the point. People said it was mostly just about hacky hacky which is alright, but it didn’t really show their struggle and stuff and so it bored me. The trailers made it look fairly good, but if that’s the best 30 seconds, I can’t be bothered to pay money to watch it. eventually, I’ll watch it on t’internet somewhere maybe.

On-topic. My avatar is Rykarth, whom we deemed as head of the Immortals. That’s basically my impression of them. BIG blades, hatmets, heavy armour (the shoulder plates should be granite, but can’t paint it). Most would have shields as well, but they should be more like pavises IMO. rather than the round shield my Immortal standard bearer has (he’s uncoverted so, what do you expect?)…

Malificant:

another reason i think black orcs make great immortal rules.

Hashut’s Blessing:

My only problem is their base size (can get around it with thick slabs of granite on armour) and movement rate…
