Sojourn:

what does GRNDL mean? :)

Scion
GRNDL means kindness and caring.

lol; he's one of our members, if his name is an acronym, I don't know. I think of Beowulf when I see/hear it :)

also, welcome to our new (and returning) members! :) glad to have you... now, get those pictures up!!!

AmyBlue:

I should get some up tomorrow. My digital cameraā€™s batteries died and Iā€™m too lazy to go to the store on my day off. XD

ā€¦oh, random random, Has anyone ever heard the song Grendel by Leslie Fish? It quite rules. (Hee, sorry the previous comment got me thinkinā€™ of that.)

GRNDL:

@Sojourn, Scion

GRNDL is synonymous with kindness and caring. Really, when have I not cared and been kind? Secondly, it is indeed derived from the epic poem of Beowulf, but more importantly, the animated musical ā€œGrendel, Grendel, Grendelā€ - on one of the runestones in the movie, there is a depiction of Grendel and his name inscribed as ā€œGRNDLā€ - no Eā€™sā€¦ I took the name because most people who know me or have worked with me knows there is no ā€œeaseā€ with me.

I would welcome aboard the new peeps, but reallyā€¦ cā€™mon, I have a reputation (apparently) to protect.

Kera foehunter:

@ Scion

Grndl means Grouchy Real Nasty Dwarf lord

Swissdictator:

GRNDL is synonymous with frying fishmen.

Zaramuskharaz:

Ahoy there!

Hereā€™s Zaramuskharaz talking! Iā€™m 16, brazilian, caucasian, and very VERY handsome(to a dawi zharr, of course)!

Some here might know me already. Iā€™m called Lucca Braganza in the Dogs of War online forum. Have been loving GW games for some years now, but just this year Iā€™ve started on Fantasy (already play 40K and Lotr SBG). Acquired a BFSP already, next weekend Iā€™ll be working A LOT on those little fellas!

For Dogs of War (of course), another project Iā€™ve been running, lookout for it on DogsOfWarOnline soon!

Xerxses:

Hello, Iā€™m Xerxses and iā€™ve been playing warhammer for long. Iā€™ve just started the Chaos Dwarfs. I hoep to have a fun time here.

wallacer:

Welcome everybody. I seem to have trouble keeping up with all the new people :o

GraaEminense:

Hi, Iā€™m new.

I donā€™t play Chaos Dwarfs yet, but I plan to change that when I get the financial ability to plunder eBay for Big Hats (their 4th ed miniature range being the main reason why I love 'em. Also, Ziggurats are neat) in the distant future.

apocalypstia:

Praise Hashut and bathe in the molten earth of his embrace.

Ello CDO,

As i have been lurking about the unseen shadows for more than a few months here at CDO i find myself drawn to unlock the gates and fire up the forges of the chaos dwarfs once again. I have played fantasy from the early bygone days of the chaos born books Realms of Chaos - Slaves to Darkness and The Lost and The Damned. I passed on my last chaos dwarf army to march to further glory around the early 90ā€™s; and been pretty much chaos-dwarfless since then.

Only a Sorceror on a Great Taurus and a smattering of early edition cdā€™s fill my ranks at the moment. Even near complete warmachines such as the Tenderizer and Whirlwind continue to collect ash and dust.

Plans for new Ziggurat and playing feild are in the works as well as the priority getting those misunderstood but oh so treasured chaos dwarf units created and mustered to wreak havoc on the remaining waiting to be slave races of the Warhammer realm.

Conversions have been started, should be able to get some pics up to the appropriate threads soon-ish.

Until then i have some other armies to play with and inspire the rebirth of the Dawi Zharr.

Beast of Chaos (and Minotaurs my second favorite), Warriors of Chaos, Daemon hordes of all factions, gobboā€™s, skaven, ogresā€¦

Fire up the forges, stoke the furnances, blot the infernal sun with the ash and soot of our resurgance, Chaos Dwarfs shall rise to greatness yet again. All Hail Hashut!!!

Alric:

Skraggi Blackheart:

Hey all Im Skraggi Blackheart

Im 20 and live in New York but plan on moving back to Europe after University. I have been modeling and painting for 5 years and only just started playing WFB Ive been using dwarfs but I was tracing my clans ancestry and found some books that have pointed me to the eastā€¦

Id love to play Chaos Dwarfs and Ive been looking at acquiring some for a while now. I have one question though, is the lore of lava (hashut) still able to be used?

Feels great to curl up my beard haha Praise to Hashut!:hat

Deragorh:

Hi all, I am 22, live in Melbourne, Australia and have recently finished a degree in Aerospace Engineering, so yes, to those keen eyed people out there, I am a rocket scientist.

I started playing Warhammer around 1997 with a small 1k Chaos Dwarf army. By small I mean 25 warriors, 24 Hobgoblins and a tooled up L4 Sorcerer Lord! Those were the daysā€¦ or maybe not. Stopped playing around 2000 but kept all of my models and inherited random models from some of my friends who decided to give the game away altogether. Last year I decided to sell off all those excess models and put the proceeds towards expanding my army of darkness.

At the moment Iļæ½?Tm more of a collector than a player, as approximately 90% of my army needs assembly/conversion and painting. Unfortunately this is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.
