[Archive] Ishkurs Death Korps of Krieg

Loki:

WOW :o they look like they have rolled out of ww1 or some war film once again amazing work, wish i had your skills in painting

Baggronor:

Hehe, there will be a Bombard, certainly.
You read my mind :) Can't wait for that.
Commissar.. hm. Basically I haven't planned on having one, but I agree the FW ones are exceptionally cool
It must be done. The potential for awesome is too much to deny.

Ishkur Cinderhat:

You read my mind :) Can't wait for that.

Baggronor
That's the nice thing about the siege army.. you start with the grunts, then work your way up to the large guns, then the bigger guns, the the even bigger guns and then the monstrously big guns! Muahahahah! :)

*Falls into maniacal laughter*

Kera foehunter:

Ish !! you might have to give a wip on the washes !! mine never look that good

Please !! please !!

your # 1 painting fan Kera

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Do you have a picture of a mini that you painted with washes? Let us see it, I’m sure we can give feedback.

Borador:

Dude…

Don’t paint that nice! It makes me feel like a worthless painter XD I already was bad but this makes me look even worse.

Great looking army, very cool looks and colours and I appriciate that you share it with us =]

:cheers

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Well based on the fluff the death korps are supposed to die in droves… so if they have to go down, then I want them to at least go down with style.

Next up: Engineers, probably!

clam:

Commissar.. hm. Basically I haven't planned on having one, but I agree the FW ones are exceptionally cool -- I might add one, just for added flavour and colour. :)

Ishkur Cinderhat
Thanks for the advise.

You have to do a commissar. Those FWs DKoK are some of the best models in the entire range. You have to do a Commissar to go with these. Promise me you will do that, please :D

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Hehe, I promise I shall look into it most benevolently.

clam:

And I’ll wait anoter 3 years, if I have to

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Been a good boy and continued work on my current project. Got me an autocannon for my infantry squad command:

…and a first squad of the absolutely stunning engineer models. I love these, they are probably even cooler than the grenadiers, with their tools and melta charges and stuff. They even have a Grabenpanzer style body armour - well worth the 4+ save which I guess every veteran unit would like to have at that cost.

I’m definitely going to get another unit of these, plus the Hades Drills to make their appearance on the battlefield even more spectacular.

Loki:

Speakless :o These are just cool Ishkur cant wait to see the next load

clam:

Don’t know what to say anymore - like Loki I’m speachless.

Only thing I can say is: ‘more’ as I’ll be needing another fix very soon

Borador:

picks up jaw and puts it back

dude…

awesome!

MOAR PLEASE!

Snotling:

Oh yeah, you kickk asses with your army! It’s a little boring, because there is nothing to complain ^^

Well, can you post a solidier before you start washing them? I’m interessted how they look like and how much the wash does change.

Warhammerman:

Absolutely awesome.

This message was automatically appended because it was too short.

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Snotling: before I apply the washes all the minis are just primed white. There is no base colour.

I’m going to start work on my death riders soon, so I may take a few WIP shots to show how the different layers of washes work together.

clam:

May?? - that’s not good enough  You have to promise us you’ll do such a “how-to-do” tutorial - so we all can see how ‘easy’ it is

Kera foehunter:

sorry for the long no reply

here was the last figure that i tryed it on

Snotling:

that’s quite impressive. I’m allways jealous how you can mange to figure out a really fast colour sheme which nevertheless looks awesome!
