clam:
Is this also done from that Vallejo German Camo Pale Brown ??
Ishkur Cinderhat:
Yes indeed. Heavily washed with Badab Black and highlighted a bit; I love that colour.
Ishkur Cinderhat:
Two commissars for my Death Korps! At last I have to say the models are ace. I’m glad you guys talked me into buying them.

Now, who just said ‘retreat’ here!
Loki:
Sweet models, amazing paint job, what more can i say
Warhammerman:

Don’t know what to say anymore
Absolutely stunning work, my friend. So glad we could persuade you to do them.
What’s next? Infantry, I guess. What are you aiming for ?? 1500p?
And I think it’s time for an army overview shot - don’t you
Bassman:
What da fu@#]n’ is this? An imperial army wthout tanks?
We wanna tanks!
AGPO:
Brilliant project, I like these models so much more than thestandard Cadian guardsmen, but couldn’t afford a plastic guard army let alone one from Forgeworld
Ishkur Cinderhat:
@clam: happy to provide as ordered.
This is from last week, the only thing missing really though are the commissars.
@Bassman - you will be glad to hear I have not forgotten the treadheads out there (which includes me BTW). The next thing in the queue is an Imperial Bombard to add some serious dakka to the army. ^^
@AGPO: Totally agree - these are hideously expensive, thank God I bought most of the actual troops back two or three years ago so I can concentrate on the more elite and small decorative units now.
Warhammerman:
An awesome…yet expensive army. Still they are extremely awesome. Good job!
AGPO:
well I’m certainly glad your budget could stretch in this case! :cheers
Borador:
all nice comments seconded. Great job ! keep it up
Baggronor:
The next thing in the queue is an Imperial Bombard to add some serious dakka to the army. ^^Only one? :)
Snotling:
Nice turtorial, looks pretty easy and the results are great! good job on the officers, too. your army looks just increadible cool! :hat off
Loki:
The group shot looks amazing the army just looks so cool, wish i could afford a army like this, please keep the great work and pics coming
Joshmohr:
For sure one of my favorite 40k armies. Way to go!!
Thorne:
Darn M3lvin you paint faster than me ! Impressive work !
m3lvin:
Thorne: perhaps you should check which thread your replying to next time
But I guess I speak for both Ishkur and me when I say that our armies has many similarities,
and when theres two members on the forum both activly posting evil-lookin gasmask 40k imps,
there will be mix-ups :cheers
I thought you meant Ish anyway, since I havent painted any of my models yet
…and BTW, I can do nothin but agree with Thorne, these models look awesome, and the
technique of painting them is revolutionary. It was when I saw this thread I got tempted to start
on my Steel legions again, thanks for that :cheers

Sartoris:
What an awesome paintjob! O_O Stunning work, I could stare at your figures for hours on end.
Sorry if this has already been answered, but could you tell us how you painted the masks? I’m guessing maybe bleached bone washed with sepia or badab black could do the trick?
Could you also make a tutorial on how to achieve that wonderful glint in the horses’ eye sockets? Or perhaps a link to one? Thanks in advance!
