Hey Sartoris! Thanks for the nice comment. ^^ The masks are painted with washes of gryphonne sepia, devlan mud and badab black on white basecoat, no bleached bone involved. The lenses of the horse masks are the usual variety of the typical soulstone painting technique GW show in their tutorials -
Thank you for the tips, I’ll try it out when I manage to wrench myself away from that picture of the general (senior officer?), his coat is mesmerising.
Saw this thread when I was looking for paint schemes for my relatively new DKOK army, Can I say an excellent job and so much so that its scrapped my original plans and I am going along the washes route aswell.
Just a quick question re your DKOK to satisy my curiosity, I saw in the thread that you were going to add a Quartermaster and some ‘Heavy metal’ (tanks), did you and if so what colour schemes did you use for the tanks.
Secondly are there any more pictures for/of the new additions?
Argh ! pulls some more hair out all these death korps wandering about the place its enougth to make you crazy ! loving the work btw With Ishkur and M3lvin making imperial guard its making me take my eye of my blood elves to want to make a guard army Stop it !
Hey Gruber, I bought indeed both a few minor tanks and the Quartermaster; but I got bogged down in my moving to a new appartment and all the exhausted weekends this brings with it. Right now I’ve started painting a little on my WHFB Chaos Warriors army again. I’m quite sure my work on the DK will resume sooner than later. So right now there are no new additions and therefore no new pictures. Once I add more stuff to my army I will obviously show them here first thing! :hat off
Nooooo, I was longing to see the bombard! We do not want to see Chaos scum… your only acceptable excuse to not work at you DKoK is that you’re working at your Chaos Dwarfs
Consider them reviewed, awesome stuff. Giant Maggot ftw :cheers
Baggronor
OK, Ishkur, my fault. In the meanwhile I completely forgot your giant maggot. For this ONLY reason I forgive your putting Chaos Dwarfs and DKoK aside for Chaos scum! Giant maggots are chicks magnets, much better than Ferrari and Lamborghinis..... :)
Behold, I have painted once more! Took awhile to find some motivation but now that I’ve finally finished my Hades and Hellhound models, I’m kinda happy with the result. Nothing too fancy, just a basic paint scheme and some weathering.
Excellent models yet again, the Hades Drill looks awesome with the Engineers (which means I may have to purchase one aswell). The weathering is excellent on both models but wondered what colours you used to paint these? Cannot wait to see the Quartermaster and Bombard if there gonna turn out like these
Um sorry mate, the bombard is not even assembled yet. The quartermaster and retinue are primed and ready to go, but I'm currently putting all available slaves into working on my Artisan's VIII entry.
This is the only acceptable excuse! ;) Looking forward to seeing it!
