And now its about time for an update, not on the Taurus, thats still almost finished...
But I finally finished my Death Rocket. and it already killed a Stegadon in one shot.
Picture came up a bit unfocused sorry.

Good model choices for the crew! all I can say about the Earthshaker is “KABOOM!” nice! I’ve always loved those old 3rd edition goblin wolf riders… I’m really a fan of all the old late 80’s stuff… Can’t wait to see them all together!

I have to finish painting 2 units (black orcs and Hobgolin with bows) than i’ll shoot some overall pictures.
Oh and I think a lot of the 3dr edition vanilla dwarfs go very well along the 3dr edition chaos dwarfs. (especially the Norse models)

High Time for some updates. Luckily I painted like a madman this weekend.
But first my work in progress Sorcerer Lord for the Golden Hasnut thingy:
Got my hands on a second 3dr edition CD sorcerer, and as its a Lord It needed to be a bit more impressive than the one I already had, but there isnt much I could convert on this model. Luckily I had the crazy helm top left over from the Dwarf King riding my converted Taurus. on the sorcerer this helmet ornament looks even more silly but in my book all magicians are a bit crazy in the head so that works fine. And as I’m most likely to use him as a Death sorcerer I mounted him on a pile of sculls, some taken from the Tombking banner and the rest made out of greenstuff.

Looking at this picture I should have painted the eyes, but you’ll never look at these twice on the table, and if you do you’ll notice the bow strings (:

In the 3dr edition warmachienes were one sise fits all, So when I bought my 4dr Dwarf boltrower it came with 3 extra Orcs, now the finally get to crew their own warmachine (:

Here is 1/3 of my Black orcs:
the 3dr model from the left was used in the 4dr edition Orc&gobbo army book battle report, I read that report so many times I just had to have that model.

started painting some of these models 5-6 years ago, it was a bit difficult to pick up from there (especially cos they were half finished) but the colour scheme fits really well with my chaos dwarfs. the banner top is also a conversion I did 5/6 years ago, its a collection of trophys from other armies… and a macdonald “M” from a coffee spoon, its a bit silly but I still like it so i left it in.
I only have to paint 5 more chaos darfs and 3 Black orcs and my 2250 pnt tourney army is finished (than I can continue on the Taurus and other stuff).

@Loki: Thanx they came out quite nice, the models are huge compared to anything else in the army but I really like that.

@tjub: Thanx. and for the Night Gobbo’s I can understand, but as the name of my blog explains they are cheap (: and they go very well along the wolfriders, I like that they are very small.

So here are the last CD’s for my 2250 points list I will be playing the coming battles:
2 more real CD’s to make my units look more chaos-esk. and I painted a banner bearer that fitted my army but also had a more chaos feel to it, still with loads of runes on it as those are ever present even on the centaurs.
I followed the advice from elsewhere on this forum to make blunderbusses with the Chaos Rino Gargoyle Heads, these will go with my Thunderers, making it more obvious they are Blunderbusses.
I Really like the pose of this model:
He will later become part of my Ironbreakers/Obsidian Guards. The colours of my army are dark green and white (and Red and White for the slaves). on this model I left out the white to keep it nice and dark so there wont be any mistake as to witch unit is the elite if the are on the table next to normal warriors.
Only 2 more Black orcs to go and I’ll have to start making those overall army photo’s I promised…
